Well neway yeah Also on the spear u can use 2 books to stun, 2 strikes in one book and 2 in another if u masssed stuns u could keep your opponent immobile haha, funny.
Strongbow Book 3 (@level 76 on) -- with stun + other yummy stuff.
I think ill make a STR glaive with Protecter just because i love Samurais and they look cool in Protecter, Guess il have to max Fan spells tho.
Bows i woulda chosen but i personally find strongbow to long to load. (nice damage though!) i hate names, and i make female characters so its even harder for me to find a good name >.> LOL i made one called merchant then thought, why the hell should i name it merchant, what a dumb idea (delete)

Snappy how much damage does a lion shout do when compared with your antidevil non crit? What level are you now?
I am at lvl38 with 10% more to go, from the 1st post I did I was at lvl32. Have not leveled for past 2 weeks as I am currently abroad on assignment - so I could not post the exact damage range average, min/max and crits. (Fugging China blocks SRO gaming! This is a Chinese trade route FFS!)
What I can say is that Lion Shout does around 40% of a non-crit Anti if I recall correctly. Skill gap at 8 levels as I took the level 30 nukes at lvl35 to test out the damage. Nukes are around 110 - 115% +/- of an Anti non-crit hit. The figures % are obtained from a 32 SOS+5 I had from 32-38, and a recent SOM 32+3 I have got my hands on (Gona pimp this sucka!).
Pretty much happy that Wind posted on the topic (Yo thread lurker!) . Technically this build can do decent vs. nukers, and the first time I have a confirmation on a pure str bow results. Thanks! As what I have tested, the hyb bow vs. garment str glavie still stand a good chance of a fight.
I am actually scratching my head over str blader, killing them is rather hard. Fire Wall does decent defense over the blader KD - tested, not sure if ice wall prevents blader KD. Need confirmation on this skill. s/s is pretty much a game of who get to release the skills faster.
No you just imagined that wind posted in a thread 30 pages long.
Thanks for adding insightful information.
So Wind. How does it feel to be the center of one of the most controversial longest lasting threads?
What you say seems to make a lot of sense, I look forward to a guide if you decide to make it.
Thanks Snappa for replying. Lion shout does seem useful, now I just have to decide if I can spare the sp.

I take up lion shout as it is a really fast skill, an instant damage to be honest. For example, Autumn as we know is a lowly bow skill on its own, but following up with a shout, it is considered good with the damage and bringing the overall damage near to a Crit Anti, with less overall time. Works with any bow skill but I deem Anti and Zerk as inefficient as it takes a long cast time PvE. You can definately deliver Anti > Imbue > Combo > Autumn > Shout in 1 imbue should you wish to level at higher +4 level above mobs.
It is not a problem to level at same or lower level mobs and find it a faster kill efficiency with Autumn > combo > 1-2 normal hits then shout to finish vs. Anti as the opening move - which I only use over red mobs. A decent crit bow will also deliver good crits with Autumn.
This is more of a personal thingy that is bugging me - the new skill set in the level 70-ish are SP killers and farming is like a pain like no other.
Autumn has better % over the new bow skill but the new skill has better AOE. It could make bow more interesting to pull 3-5 mobs at higher levels and do Zerk > Light nuke > Flower > Shout to mass kill. Then again, it is a pain on SP farming. I have yet to decide to continue Autumn as the SP drain is pretty steep if taking up more skills than necessary with the new skill cap (something like 500k SP if i wanna be greedy, then again, I am lazy)
Cold has got better skill set than Fire for bows now but the imbue stats is absolutely fugly! Mana shield is also a reason to consider cold coupled with the removal of status immunity - ah well, me is teh whinnorz.....

So the 70:70....or 50:50...or however you want to describe even balance, is that with or without Blues?.....obviously as you increase in levels and move up in degree clothes/assessory/wep.....your blues could vary based on alch or what you buy.
I have currently 74% Phys 72% Magic with blues factored in.....naked I am even 50:50 STR - INT.....so do I undress every time I level to place my points correctly or do I just base it on my balance fully clothed.
I am following this build since I moved servers after a hack......I am using ICE as my main with Light/Fire buffs.....grinding is fast/frost & freeze is nice and saves mucho hp pots/i don't pvp at my level but have killed several purple offenders or assisted in killing them a BIG part of that because i froze them when they were trying to run away and get rid of their purple status.....orange and orange-red mobs/npc thieves are pretty much no problem with crits/ice/anti/autumn.......i help out traders when I can......and I am using a regular non-sox bow with crit 8 and decent (%)increases.....i am having a lot of fun with this........I was a level 42 Pure STR glav when I got hacked so been there done that build as well.....I like this better.

70:70 is a int hybrid, 1:1/50:50 is not the same build.
Ideally you will have a lot of blues on your clothes as you level. If this is the case you can leave them on when you add the stat points and just keep it around 80:80.
Just take off the items that have more of 1 stat point then the other, obviously you can leave on the ones that are equal.
So I tried that new calculator. To get the new mana shield and mind bow to lvl 70 is gonna cost about 17k sp, and then the optional skills like lion shout and ice wall is another 20k. Dam this is depressing.

hi there, its actually Wind...im hoping to hear from u along2 time ago, if u see the past thread, im one of the first ppl thats really agreed with ur build..at that time and at that time also..im still farming..
the thing that i agree about ur build is bcuz i reallize that imbue has the effects on the overall dmg. it was confirm when i accidentaly read this post..
then when i already finish farming..3 month ago, im begining to lvl up my char, then at that time, my path has changed, i reallized that archer that has ur build is a very good build, but then, im more interested in being a glaiver with a little twist, that is im balancing it, so i can have the tanking ability, and a higher dmg compared to pure str.
then i use a calculator, and ive make a decisions to make a 100%phy 60%mag, where i can still tank, having a 17k+ hp (without hp stones) and a higher overall dmg, with the imbue.
i went a long with that build till now, and im now lvl 80 full farmed, my gear still suck, but all have str 5 - str 4 stones and int4 - int 5 stones on each of them, and im now 97%:57%, my glaive is only 72 +5.
and my hunch was right, ive more overall dmg then my pure str counterpart, even they crit higher then me, sometimes im higher, the difference is about 1k-2k only.
plus i wont die very easily either, bcuz my hp difference between pure str counterpart is just 2k!...
then, ill come along into this thread, and i saw ur giving some comments about maybe a good balance for a blade.
im curious, why should a sword still good as a hybrid balancer, i supposed that is me ofcourse, compared to a blade?...can u pls reply this..cuz i think the blade is better..cuz the phy dmg, the think is u just try to higher the imbue dmg..thats all..
Hey Glavie, Dunno If you got my stats ok. They are in Open Office Format. Any Way My view on new skills is the new Mind Series is Pretty much essential for my build I Dunno About load time but it dosent seem to be long there for it should go perfect with my Bezerker Arrow and Light Imbue hopefully using Mind to drag 4 mobs on me then hitting them with bezerk.
Piece of info for some Strong Bow people the Load time is apparently going to drop on the top book in the udpate to a measely 3secs, Just rumor this has not been confirmed but will come to many bowmen as a welcome boost.
New hawk Series is disapointing Its going to be another Attacking Hawk instead of a stat hawk and as a Non Black Hawk user im dissapointed altho the Lightening hawk will do up to 1.5k dmg so i suppose il just have to use it...
70:70 is a int hybrid, 1:1/50:50 is not the same build.
Sorry, yes I understand the balance versus 1:1 didn't mean to start to confuse things. I am working the balanced build so my points in INT are more than my points in STR and trying to keep the phys/mag balanced which is 73% phys and 72% magic at the moment with blues equaled. This said - obviously my MP is more than my HP.
I guess a 50:50 or 1:1 build has STR/INT or HP/MP being equal which is NOT what I am going for nor what this thread is describing I think I understand.
Thanks.

caseyd4 wrote:Full Str Archer < Str Hybrid Archer, I dont need to crit to kill a full str archer they have to crit to kill me
Every archer, regardless who I fought against needed crits to kill me. A hybrid archer just grinds faster, besides that I cant see the huge advantage of them..
IMO; they sacrifice a lot of HP for a little bit more damage overal.
80 pacheon(too bad knock came after level 70),80 ice(with imbue and mana shield), and light for movement and magic damage....this build should not include nuke(since nuke does damage than bow,so why u make an int bow,be an archer only!!!!)
how about this?
PS:bow is a hybrid weapon, since damage came between spear and sword...and lies between STR and INT weapon...
Mihai wrote:Let me jump on a conclussion, friends, pls: CRIT rules or not?
I guess it does........STR Archer gets best CRIT ! I have to repeate myself......80-80 is best on PVE... Full STR is on PVP
Pls tell me if I am wrong.....I really start to enjoy this forum ...after 30+pales...muhahahaha Love ya all guys
Please, go to damage contest and take a look who get best crits.
About who is better on pvp I think that new skills change completly the concept because with the snow shield is really really harder than any one kill you. Im hybrid 1:1 lvl79 and when I activate the snow shield at 40% none on the pvp area was able to kill me during those minutes (I went afk with a lvl80 s/s nuker with +7 sword and he couldnt kill me). Against a glavier with lvl80 skills full farmed, he couldnt kill me during those 2 minutes, but I wasnt able to kill him either and he finally kill me when snow shield was over (he stun me on the first hit of new lvl80 ss followed by a crit on gsm ) .
Latest addition Now that I kill them all I can rest in peace ^^
[b]TOMIOTAR I sent you a pm a while back. Please get back to me.

Muyo 1:2 hybrid is very similar to a 70:70. Only slightly more int. I am sure with the mana shield it will be able to tank just fine. I get nervous basing a entire build off of a skill that has a 1 min cool down, but with knock back and stun, I would think hybrid builds would gain more of an advantage from the disabling moves then pure str build. I guess time will tell.
It pisses me off though that cross bow gets knockback on the first skill it learns, and I will have to be 70+ to get it.
Mihai There is no question that pure str bows crit hard and often. But don't underestimate the crit damage of a int hybrid.
I would go as far as to say we clearly out damage you even with your criticals. The main issue is that we have a lotless HP then you do.
Is our increased damage worth the loss of HP?

Hi guys i'm not sure if we already got a level 80 bow fully farm with 80/80.
right now i'm going to try the 80/80 build once i'm done
first thing i'm going to do is fight a fully farm pure str bow and i will
give you guys the result.
Please don't come and say oh is because you got seal of sun bow,
oh you got sos clother's on.
because you guys always come with something new(The Archers Hater's)
so i should be level 80 in about 3 month's here a pic of my naked characted.
Porpoise wrote:In my opinion, this build isn't all that great. They may have good damage with the bow, but it is completely pointless because the nukes will do even more damage , and one of the only things that makes a bow good is that if you crit as a pure str, it is almost an instant kill. If you are a hybrid, you do much less damage when you crit, and you dont have any of the useful skills that Bicheon and the Glavie masteries have, such as knockdown and stun. This means that you are pretty much helpless if anybody knocks you down or stuns you. This build would probably work out with either spear or sword, but from my experience, it won't be too good for a bow
On the other hand, it probably will do well against bows, if that is what you are going to go against most often.
Btw, just so you know, sword and spear nukers are the most common builds in SRO, with pure str Glavie coming very close.
YES BUT MORON YOU CANT KEEP NUKING SOMEONE OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
