New euro armors / subclasses
New euro armors / subclasses
I looked but didn't see a topic on this, my bad if there i one already created. But i see people talking about there character builds(euro) and they plan to go warrior/cleric. In all it would seem like a good idea yah, but remember clerics use robe or light armor. So to use cleric skills you would have to use light armor correct? Wont your sub class have to be able to wear the same armor class as you? Please correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not sure, but I don't think many people are gunna have secondary armor set to throw on to use a heal, or strip out of armor to use it, it would seem like you'd prob take more damage then if you had just continued to fight, then to take off armor to use a heal. This leads me to believe warrior cant have a sub category class? I guess for pvm you could take off armor to heal, but seems like a waste of time to have to sp farm to be able to heal to save a few seconds while grinding, in the long run would prob take less time to just sit and wait for health to go up, and of course you'll be in a party and have someone heal you, so you wont be in that position. Please posts thoughts/comments.
no, armor is based on mastery level, so as long as the warrior mastery level is high enough you can wear the corresponding heavy armor no matter what (even with cleric/bard/warlock/wizard weapons, all as long as the warrior mastery is high enough)
and i think that warriors are seconding as clerics isnt because of healing, but more to revive people if the main cleric gets killed, since the warrior is least likely to die.

nah you cant
cuz wirards use staff, and you cant use staff with armor together
Yes you can... weapons are not decided by mastery level, they are decided by character's level (Same with jewelery, character's level). Only clothes depend on mastery.

Most buffs are weapon conditioned. Change the weapon and the buff is gone. The only ones i have seen that don't change are the Bard's buffs that are applied on yourself (speed buff and Noise). Warrior and Cleric buffs go off if you switch weapons (Those are the ones i've experienced with, but i'm pretty sure the other classes work like this too). I think the principle behind this is that you don't have a massive amount of buffs for a single char, because that would give you a big advantage (even at lower levels of mastery, the Euro buffs are very good)
hmm
well if what HyorunmarouZ said is true, that you can wear armor no matter what weapon you have out, as long as warrior mastery is high enough, i think i my have to go warlock/warrior so i can have that rediculously amazing drain life skill, wearing armor, i mean how can you die. Im wondering, now do the armor folow same as chinese armors? like.... does euro armor only provide most phy defense, and robe is most magi defense, or is armor best in both categories, that was something i was unsure of. it seems like it would make more sence to make armor strongest in both, because if you go against an elemental monster, the cleric may be the best tank in the house, and the warrior be the worst. any response to this?

Regarding the Physical/Magical defense of euro clothes comparing them to chinese ones:
Heavy Armor = Armor
Light Armor = Protector
Robe = Garment
As a sidenote, in case you want to know... unlike chinese clothes, Euro ones do NOT give any speed or MP usage bonus.
The difficulty on doing this dual class for gear is that the mastery cap won't allow you to have your sub class very high or, at least, high enough to wear clothes of your level. If you want to have both, your main and your sub class updated to have the latest skills and the latest gear, you would need to go with a 3 gap or so, and that would be increasing as you level up.
So, imo doing a sub class for gear doesn't worth it because you would be forced to have your main skills outdated for the sake of wearing a good set of clothes close to your level.
ya
jorgie i meant warlock/warrior. I would have only gone warrior so i could use armor on my warlock, i wouldnt have used any of the warrior skills, just the mastery. But that wouldnt be a very beneficial build. Im thinking lock/bard may be more significant since soem of the bard passives dont require a harp to cast/have
