A Pure int Bard as main mastery and wizard or warlock as a sub tree?

And why

I would say Warlock.

Wizard can be good to grind solo, but in a party, you will be healing MP most of the time, however, you can use the warlock curses on a mob with a high amount of HP (like giants or paty mobs) and then change to harp and start healing.

(I'm not sure yet if these curses go out when you change the weapon though)

not sure of the first question.
Bard can MP heal only.

yes certain bard only spells will be gone except speed buff when changed weapons

i say a pure bard only w/o a second mastery since they give buff while others kill faster

bard heals MP
warlock heals HP

*sigh*

Stop...posting!! >:(

Sorry.

I myself am a pure int...no second mastery...bard.

It's pretty fun.

It's like you're one big...talking...MP healing, pot. You also buff party members...but if you die...their buff is gone; also, it's better to play a bard when there's two of you, then you can combo and use the "better" bard skills.

Bards do more dmg than a cleric.(Normal attacks, no skills)

A cleric gives buffs to specific people only...if a bard activates it's buff, then the whole party gets buffed.

IN CONCLUSION:

Bard:
[*]The most MP out of the whole group.
[*]Heals MP.
[*]Buffs entire party.

Cleric:
[*]Has a shield.
[*]Heals HP.
[*]Buffs individuals.

Hope you choose the best class for you ;)(Sorry I couldn't give a better word about clerics...he he he. )

PS: Warlocks are the de-buffers...not the HP healers >_>

Hybrid Bard/Cleric.

Keep in mind I say "hybrid" because I give myself 1:2 per levels. 1 str and 2 int. This gives me a very nice HP buffer and since you don't really need a massive amount of MP to play bard but you do need HP to defend yourself because you are restricted to garment (keep in mind it's possible to wear protector if you are Cleric/Bard but if you are Bard/Cleric most likely your minor will be 4 level down your major meaning your protector will be 4 level down, meaning fairly useless).

Bards need the most MP IMO...I mean...you DO have to support the WHOLE party's MP =/

I can't agree with this, wizards needs the most MP in Europe, being that their nukes depletes a great deal of MP. And yes, bards do support the entire group but once the support is done with, you either combat with the rest of the group or do supportive spells which can be fully supported by proper potions (using the wrong size potions for your level is mostly was cause the MP problem in the first place).

I stand by my statement, that 1:2 is a very good way of building a bard/cleric. It gives you the ability to sustain some hits while you are trying to evade an enemy and there is NO DOUBT that HP is a hell of a lot more vital for a bard/cleric than MP is (keep in mind I'm not saying that bards should go pure str of course, that would be just totally nuts, just saying that a little HP every level will give you the ability to survive more often). Unless of course, you like to die multiple times during any grinding runs.

Being a Bard/Cleric is very nice because, when the need is there, I can heal myself, thus save myself, which is very precious during certain battles.

i'd say you could even do a 2:3 since the harp itself boosts the maximum MP by a lot.
