How do I learn to program?
I want to learn how to program, make my own programs, games and things like that. I have no programming knowledge whatsoever but I am not a complete computer noob, I just want to learn how to write my own programs...
Can anyone suggest how I start quickly using my computer?

What language are you talking about?
C?
C++?
Flash?
Java?
BASIC?
ASM?
All of these COULD be used to make games. Just depends on how serious of game you want.

I started with TiBASIC on my calculator.
Then learned flash.
Then learned C/C++.
Then learned java.
Sooo, start with the basics.
The basic concepts never change.
Java was a fun little language that is completly pointless :/.
C++ was well, ehhh lol.
flash <3.

**** simple. Don't be like these pussies! Dive right into x86_64 Assembly! You won't regret it, I swear.
[edit] But if you want some real advice. Go to school, kid. Be a Computer Science or Computer Engineering student.
If you want to teach yourself right now and you absolutely can't wait. Read a book. Once you figure out which language you want, I wouldn't mind helping you choose a book.
Personally, I recommend C++. But that's only because that's what I started with and I love it. Screw BASIC. It won't come in handy anytime soon.

I'm gonna have to advise against that, young grasshoppa. There are NO, i repeat, NO good tutorials online that will teach you programming! I CANNOT stress this enough...PICK UP A BOOK!

For anyone interested in C++, I always recommend "Starting Out With C++" by Tony Gaddis
It assumes absolutely no prior programming experience. It starts out with the very basics and touches on every basic aspect of the language. It's more of a text book than a regular book, but the assignments only help.
After about 2 years of C++ experience, I still keep this book within reach. (although other, more advanced, books in my personal library have pretty much replaced it by now)

Meh. That's just Amazon's price. If you look to the right side of the page, there's a link for New & Used books that are WAY cheaper. Also, check out other websites that sell books. Half.com is my fav. I bought a SQL book and a Visual C++ book from there, both around $10 each, brand new.
