Should PureInts..

Post by dRaXxXus »

Should PureInts have Weapon skills? Some builds I see only raise the weapon skill to 20, and some builds raise them to 80 for the combo attacks and other neat tricks.. Which one is better? 20 or 80..

Yessir you should. It pains me greatly to watch pure int usually s/s who just nuke, you'd think it would work but you have nothing to stop your enemy from dealing damage to you such as stun, knockdown, and knock back, which to a pure int is extremely important since your health really sucks and you can't take a lot of hits.

Bicheon skills are fine, you might want to up the ice since the new skills are coming out and the new ice buff when maxed converts more than half of the phys damage you take from your hp to your mp. Also the last book of the ice buff and the last book of the passive offer the most def, so if you're going to invest in ice, might as well max it.

A lot of people are switching to bicheon 80 ice 80 light 80 and skipping fire altogether since it's not really needed.

Alright, my build is now 80bicheon80ice80lightning, which imbue would be best?

Also, most of the nukers I see use that fire range spell (fireball one), it seems useful considering the damage. What would I use instead of the fireball?

Lightning of course, since that is the second most damaging imbue

well the only option you have there is the lightning nuke, IMO the ice nuke first book is useless and a waste of sp, but if you have the extra sp go for it =]

Well the new ice buff when maxed is going to give over 50% phys damage transfer from hp to mp, so I think most people will take that over fire protection.

Actually if you look here http://www.janrique.com/~soda/SRF/ksro_70-90_skills.htm you'll see that the lightning storm has the largest possible damage amount.

80 bicheon
80 lightning
80 fire
60 cold (40% mana shield)

Best build for int's imo.

Ahh that's sweet. I'm still confused on my build. What is the required mastery for the new ice buff?

EDIT : Is Mana Shield the New Ice Buff?

Now at 80cap best for ints will be 80 light / fire / bicheon and 60 cold. At 90 u`ll have to choose or more dmg/nukes and stick with fire, or defense and go with cold. 90 light fire bicheon 30cold or 90light cold bicheon 30 fire or something else. As an Int S/S u cant drop light or bicheon.

yeah true but it variates a lot.. so generally it's gonna do less dmg unless you have a high AR.
But I notice it now too. My second book of light does more dmg then my second book of fire. And i'm not keeping fire just for the stronger nukes, I might for the def and stuff, still doubting fire or cold.

Thanks guys for the responses, i've made up my mind. I like the Bicheon80/Cold60/Light80/Fire80, and at 90 I will probably go with Fire for more damage.

pure int are meant to deal dmg, not to tank...with euro coming & the game ever going towards group warfare than 1v1...you might as well pick fire over ice

only choose 2 trees, that has been said since sro started years before...
the max u could consider is 3 trees at the moment and 80 or 90 or 100 cap

100cap and onwards should be years and years later so you can forgo 1 of the skill tree and slowly delevel abit at every cap increase...

i myself only took light and cold and fire.. i have no problem using light imbue, light nukes and lion shouts and 3 quick lion shout takes just 1 more seconds than normal nuking and3 shouts can add up to 1 nuke power

so thunderbolt nuke+3 shouts and repetitively
cold for the mana shield, can expect more % defense from it when sro hits higher than 100cap, thus is must have, so i won't die and able to keep nuking and do shouts :)

Well we could survive with mana shield then why not use heuksal skils ? while the enemy is stuned or pushed back it can be easely nuked not like with knockdown. Do you think this would work ?:o

i think the ur solution is much easier than u though . drop weapon skills or get pacheon as passive and use s/s also get force lvled up as a nuker u will pwn every str's ass and funy thing is. they will not know what hit em!

IMO TBH : for 90 cap <+new skills, max force max light max cold and dont get weapon skills :) lol.

I think dropping weapon skills be the worst idea... Just go with one weapon mastery and 2 elemental masteries. You'll be set until lvl 100 and you'll probably quit by then anyways. If you are that worried about the 150 cap, go with lightning and one weapon mastery. [That is, once we get up there.]
