been thinking bout thids for awhile..its funnnt to me how aso many hundreds of thousands of peoplr are so concerned and have so much deterrminartion to be so efficient nd get to high lvls in theiir video games...when a high percentage of thos rpeple probl slack and do poorly and dontr try in mnany aspects of reality.

srory ive been trhying to correct my typing but it wouldab took me days ytpo get this post right.

Sorta understood what your trying to say now Choco. Uhmm I dunno I'm determined to get high lvl in a game yeah .. of course, but in no means do I slack in reality. Got highest grade average in college, worked for a good 2 years. Work never suffered from gaming .. and now I'm back in school to get my masters degree.

On topic: I'm not sure what your point is or what you're asking but I agree with what you said.. something about people wanting to be high level but not actually trying.. (if I understood you correctly lol) Some games *cough*SRO*cough* make it too easy for players to do just that!

But if you meant that some people are more motivated to accomplish their goals in game rather than in life.. well thats a whole other story. I have goals in life and in game.. just seems easier to achieve my game goals but I am still working on the real life ones as well :wink:

Um my basis is the fact that I used to have that problem when I was younger. farked off school, friends, health, etc to be super efficient in a video game, rather than put my effort into having an efficient lifestyle in reality.

I'm pretty sure there are a huge number of kids that let their grade work go off and some adults that let their work go, but I think the majority has a healthy balance of games/serious work.

yea man, tons of people only focus on their games, its really sad. Some people completely neglect ALL other aspects of their life. They live basically in a hole, only focussing on their game, until they get their desired "rank" and strength (some have to be the best on the server). Then when they have achieved what they went out to achieve, some start all over again. LOL

Many have so many goals they spend so much time trying to obtain in a video game, it just makes me wonder how many of those people put as much time and hard work into their goals in RL.

PsYch right now i do live in a hole..

I live in the middle of nowhere and what used to be my friends are all weird ass rockers that smoke pot 24/7, half of them are on other shit as well.. I joined in with them untill about a year ago when they started to sniff up stuff that boosts ur body when we went out. Started gaming more and more and more..

It kinda farked my life up, i screwed my college up this year by not being there more then half of the time, i went to college with my mum to talk about it for like 3 times and now i aint even allowed to go back in the same college next year. And the funny thing is, i heard that 2 days ago and now it's to late to get a new college since its summer holidays. Next year im gonna have to be lucky to be able to get a uni before the year starts or i'll end up being a complete nolifer

One side i'm really happy cos im still together with my girl whom ive been with for 4 years (next week anniversary) its going absolutely great with her and all, still have 2 good friends left over but it aint everything.. and on the other side i feel really shit, and i mean really shit sometimes, kinda lost half of my life... Not to show off or anything but i was quite popular on uni and with the chicks around my area, all gone.. fux u up i tell ya.

dude, its ok man... i have pretty much no friends at all. All of my friends went to jail, or left the state because of drugs. The people here that i call friends are just not... the only person i can count on IRL besides my family is my gf. i dont have a single friend that i could guarantee would come to help me if i drastically needed it.

Yes i agree, i gave 2 shits about my highschool/college, untill i realized you will end up cleaning places or so...

me, i never went to college (besides a single semester at UNR) , but i still have a good job because of my pc tech experience, and i can get a job making upwards of 70 grand a year without college. i have known this for a long time, and have planned as such.

you cant expect to become a famous musician.

There's this guy I know who tries so hard to let everyone know he's high - ex: he pretends to forget things.

When high, you don't type like an idiot - that's drunk.

Oh and on the subject of druggie friends (couple posts ahead): All my friends started pot the same time I did. A lot of them have dropped out and are on chemical drugs now, I haven't touched anything for 8 months ^^.

he said he was drunk and on somethin else if i am not mistaken, but meh, w/e
