I think you are misunderstanding Joymax. English is not their first language. I interpret their rules to mean that they reserve the right to ban any 3rd party program that changes game play in any way. I realize I am adding words here but.......I am trying to read between the lines.

why don't we start bitching about hardware? I use a G15 keyboard and a Razor Copperhead mouse. I can macro to hell and back with these two [granted the lag doesn't help much], but it still gives me an advantage over other users.

If you go and dig soem in the official forum you surely will be surprised to find the statement done by Morningdew about G15 macros. In short, you can get your acount banned if you use the G15 Macros.

That is not a contradiction! ROFL! I was asking you to go back and count how many times I have said it is a third party program. How hard is that to understand? Actually, you are partially correct. GG scrambles signals from I think port 60. So that macro programs have a hard time doing their job. However, contrary to many people's beliefs, there is -no- GG currently for SRO. Therefore, I guess you still could use the g15 keyboard.

Infsdraynor, I have actually had a lot of fun (and plenty of laughs) arguing back and forth with you. It may have gotten old, but it was fun while it lasted. Early on you obviously misread one of my posts and thought I was trying to say the opposite of what I was actually saying. If you ever bothered to go back and read my posts again, you know this now. HertogJan, do you know what ignorant means? I can sort-of translate the rest of your sentence but this word seems out of place. When I was disagreed with, all I did was ask why. When I was told why, the answers were vague enough for me to question how they applied to this situation. This is how people debate issues. If I was acting like a little kid, I would have just spouted some curse words and said the whole world was wrong except me. If anything, I have encouraged people to explain their side so that we can all read their reasoning behind it.

Good point, but should we also then shun the use of teamspeak, ventrillo, or AIM? For clans or groups of players, these give a huge advantage over those who are using only the game and nothing more.

But Ventrilo, TS, AIM, Winamp, [insert your own soft here] aren't luring/injecting info to/from sro client.

I believe that would be an irrelevent detail. TS and Ventrilo actually are accepting input while you are playing, it is just from the background. How you interact with your program should never label it... the issues lie in what the program does. If TS or Ventrilo read what you typed into Silkroad and spoke the words allowed to your teammates (in the event you had no microphone) I doubt you would suddenly decide to ban it's use. I have seen such a feature in other games actually.

None of these programs like AIM TS vent interact with SRO, its independent so doesnt count for it. Common sense really, sry if this has been said not readin 3 pages or debating if its a 2rd party program. Its not 3rd party because its not related to the game

Could it be because you know very well your program is illegal and you're here seeking some free advertising/approval? Or even more sinister, it's a trojan or keylogger and he wants you to try it. I mean, his site is hardly used and took 5 minutes to make, unlike a real clan site.

Altering the SRO client is against the ToS. there is so much that is being done today to work around elements of the SRO client that policy has not been able to keep up. as a general rule, anything that alters the game client is forbidden on these forums. there is no way for your program to have the stall message scrolling server-side without doing that. if there is, you have deigned not to explain it to us, saying that it's "not important". as such, the official word on this subject is that this program is a direct violation of JM's ToS and hence is not only a bannable offense from the game but also from here.

you were wise in asking about this kind of thing before getting yourself in trouble, but if i do say so myself, i am more than a little put off by your tone. you cannot ask people their opinions and then become offended when they do not agree with you. you are obviously intelligent; don't spoil that by being obnoxious.
