Personally I didn't take any skills other than fire/light embue at lvl 5. For the rest I just shot my way through lvl 1-16 using a bow (which I upgraded regularly). At lvl 16 I bought me an SOS sword and a nice shield, and went from there.

You don't become a nuker until Lv30 when you can get your nukes (2nd to last skill in each tree). Get the least amount of weapon skills you need until Lv30 because after that, your weapon skills will deal much less damage than your force skills.

Some people just use the imbue and 1st book, 1st level of a couple weapon skills. There are relatively so low cost sp, get a couple 1st book, 1st level and try for yourself. As a nuker, only go beyond 1st book, 1st level weapon skills if you really need to.

In the early stages of a nuker, you plan your entire build around getting to Lv30. So there will be people around you using fancy skills and you will want to ungrade your weapon skills to look cool too . . . don't do it. A nuker begins at Lv30, have patience until then, and try to use the least amount of sp possible to get there.

A nuker should be all pure int, or close to. What weapon you choose is up to you . . . but should be either spear or sword. However, since you don't plan on getting a lot of weapon skills anyway, it doesn't really matter early on. I think I used a glaive, bow, spear, and sword all before Lv30 because I found good deals and was only really using my imbue so it didn't matter much. Somewhere in the Lv20s I finally settled into sword for good.

An IMBUNE is the very first skill in fire/lightning/ice. It gives the weapon additional damage (fire/lightning/ice) depending on the elemental tree. It lasts for 5 seconds.
