My str glaive whats ur opinion?

Post by DeathBeforeDishonor »

Hi everyone

i have a str glaive char that i made...since il be wearing garmet i dont need light as high for the speed but the extra dmg is good but anyway my current build is ment to be:

Hueksal 90
Light 90
Fire 90

But im think about using this:

Heuksal 90
Fire 90
Ice 80
Light 40

What do you think? and yes i realise people have imune but does any one know about how many?

At the current cap, most people have full Ice-immunity. It's not hard to get at all, actually.

StealMySoda wrote:As long as you have

Status reduce effect X (counts as a %)
and enough reduce on your acc to add up to 100% you will be immune. Example:

Fire Shield Emperor:
78 Reduce (78%)
Ring 1 - 5%
Ring 2 - 5%
Neck - 10%
Earings - 5%

=103%=Immune

As far as letting Lightning lagging SIGNIFICANTLY behind for the sole reason that you're wearing Garment to make up for the speed, take into account that Lightning also gives you Grass-walk Phantom, a neccessary skill for either running away from mobs, other players, or catching up to them. It's quite neccessary while jobbing, and in PvP, and is a good reason by itself to even get the Lightning Tree.

Cold could be forgotten for a Pure STR. If you were thinking about getting the Mana Shield, don't. If you do, you'll run out of Mana within 1-2 attacks, as the Mana Shield drains your MP, and you already have enough HP.

Instead, I would go for:

Heuksal: 90
Fire: 90
Lightning: 90

Like I said, the Grass-walk Speed and Ghost-Walk Phantom are neccessary. Lightning also gives you Buffs that increase Parry Ratio, and increase Magical Damage, all of which are needed. Seeing as most people will be Ice-Immune at the 90 Cap, Ice is unneccessary, and the SP could certainly be spent elsewhere.

That's just my humble opinion. I'll leave other people to comment. :)

I don't see why shoot for the 90 cap anymore, apparently theirs no cap raise and who knows how long it would take till Joymax does another update.

Because it'll come eventually, and by the time the TS hits 80, the 90 Cap will mostly likely be implemented. He said he just made the STR Glavier, so it'll be a while until he gets to 80. If he does so legitly (not making ANY accusations!), odds are that the 90 Cap will be here by the time that he does, in which case, it's good to have already planned ahead. :)

Instead, I would go for:

Heuksal: 90
Fire: 90
Lightning: 90

+1 Go with that, you can add a fourth mastery for the time being but just keep in mind you'll have to delevel it when the cap is raised.

Im also building a Pure STR Fire Glavier. Im not using ICE at all. Waiting for the 90 cap. But should it be Fire 90, Heuksal 90 and Lightning 90? Not like Heuksal 120, Fire 90 and Lightning 60? Or isnt that possible?

It is no possible. Your mastery can only be as high as your level. So, for now, 80 is the mastery limit when the skill update comes out.
