Ever seen a GM in game?
It has been brought to my attention that other MMORPGs have 'game masters' who have characters in each server and they actually go around the maps, amongst players, experiencing the game environment for themselves.
Occasionally I'll see a player send out a naive global chat message along the lines of 'If there is any GM on, please come to...." Being new to these games I have often found this laughable in it's futility, as aside from the automated anti- credit card fraud and server inspection announcements, I have seen absolutely no involvement from Joymax GMs within the Silkroad Online game environment.
Note: I have played almost daily, 2-6 hours per day, for approximately 6 months.
But then someone told me that other games have official GM characters who perform exactly this role- addressing issues in game. If Joymax claim to have in game GMs who operate in this capacity, I for one have never seen one, nor seen any addressing of issues, bot patrol, bugs, glitches, helping with advice etc. NEVER!
Now I'm not bad mouthing Joymax, it is after all a free game and being a non-silk user, frankly you get what you pay for- laggy servers, bot infestations, no official GM activity. If I ever play a game with monthly subscription, I would vehemently demand these problems dealt with or I'll take my business elsewhere, but i just don't take my current time wasting on Silkroad Online that much of a priority.
So, you ever seen, or had any interactions with an official GM???

gms can go invisible. they do this now cose when people see a gm, a few high lvls will come and try to or kill the gm also they get nearly all the server around them and makes them useless. now if they could not be killed or even count not be attacked, then maybe they would show there face more.
the fact is if there were always gms in game there would not be so many bots witch would fix the lag and the login issues.
the problem with this is that they are under staffed and greedy.

Lol only did like 1000 dmg tho :/.

Thank you firefox6 and disconnected for responses which shed some light on my question.
Clearly Joymax are understaffed, and assuming their only source of revenue from Silkroad is from players who buy silk, then it is completely understandable why they can't have human GMs in game regularly. They are evidently treated like trashy Hollywood celebrities being followed around by obsessed paparazzi, rendering them unable to perform their duties.
In an ideal world they'd be as commonplace as the regularly spawning unique monsters, but the reality is while they are so rare, people will want to follow them, crowd around, get a screen shot, attack, spam etc should they ever appear in 'visible' mode.
IF it were a priority, Joymax ought to offer some sort of Deputy GM status to a few regular players who prove themselves as honest, fair, legitimate and helpful, and make them accountable to avoid abuses of power, so the deputies can do those GM tasks that clearly existing Joymax staff are currently unable or unwilling to manage.
There must be at least half a dozen legitimate, worthy leaders of level 5 guilds/ unions on each server that could do this.

Then those people would go around and start banning anyone they disliked or whoever trashtalked them.
