Time to set this straight
Lately i see people using "IMO" instead of "IIRC"
People think IMO means something like "i think", but they need "IIRC" for that.
example: "On that website you cant change your password IMO"
What your saying: "On that website you cant change your password in my opinion"
It should be: "On that website you can't change your password IIRC"
Which means: "On that website you can't change your password If i remember correctly"
People say "IMO" for "i think" and it's starting to piss me off lol.

Grammar Police!!!
Well "in my opinion" is very similar to "I think". Opinion is just that, something you "think" and not necessarily fact. If you're pretty sure you can change your password on a website, then you "think" that you can. In your opinion, you can change your password, whether you indeed can or not.
There's a very subtle difference between IMO and IIRC, but I suppose it's there.
What is even worse than that is when people say "I could care less". They really mean "I couldn't care less", unless they really do care about the subject some and indeed could care less than that.

Ps this belongs in OTL.
You can't say that. I already complained about "I could care less"
