too hard to tell if thats his/her brushing or not, and way way way far from having color down, its monotone and the shading provides absolutely no depth. Bring your text together, add a contrasting hue/color and give it some depth, also, the lightness of your background is drowning your focal.

The second one you lowered the opac too much, also Peyton looks kinda smooshed :/
