Oh, I didn't even see that question. Well, if you're going ice/light, you're losing out on the mag prot and extra damage from fire tree...

And as my suggestion. I suggest not to do it.

1. Less HP. As a bowman, you don't have a shield, and you don't have knockdown or stun.

2. Less damage from crit. As a normal bowman, you'd rely on crits to do amazing damage.

3. A bow is like a sword without a shield. So you'll have weak nukes, and that's amplified with the hybridness, and you'll have less defense, because you don't have a shield. Sure, you may have cool looking skills, but not as cool as the blade combos.

4. I can't even really think of any pluses to this build..

1. i take atleast heuksal lv 30, maybe higher if the 90 cap is gonna take very long before its here

2. yes but your normal damage is way higher, and you are now looking on the 1v1 aspect, shouldn't this build be a very good supporter? or doing very well in jobwars?
and i won't have to be dissapointed if my strong bow doesn't crit :P

3. well you have RANGE, people say this isn't true becease of phantom, but when they phantom to you, i phantom away
and well, if you think bow skills doens't look nice, well thats your opinion,

4. well i like it, and it was just a question if i would survive 1 nuke isn't it;p (i have only the nukes for fun and grinding, in pvp i will use the pacheon skills

You can survive more then one nuke. This build is not supposed to tank, so you will need to play smart to survive.

1. What happens when 90, 100, + cap rolls around? You're going to be stuck with low hp.

2. Even in group fighting, your low attacks still won't help too much. To me, it'd just be like a blader whacking away on someone.

3. So what if you have range? If you get stunned, you're dead. If you get knocked down, you're on the ground.

4. Whatever floats your boat, buddy. But, this really isn't a game where you can stray away from the norm, and be the "underdog" and become strong, legendary and good. This game isn't like that.

1. well 100 cap is gonna take a LONG time, and at the 90 cap i im going to get mana shield+KB+stun, very lethal isn't it?

2. low attack skills? where are you talking about the only thing is is that my crit is at least 10% lower or something than full str??

3.lol, at least i could survive 1 stun fighting a norma glaver, if i can't. well a guild mate have to save my ass...

4. ROFL NOW IM FLAMMING YOU!! WHERE DID YOU FREAKING READ I WANT TO BE LEGENDARY FFS?

and well MAYBE im wrong on all points (however i think im not) it's a really good PVE pve build till 90 cap..

damn

1. No comment.

2. It'll be way lower.

3. Your friends won't always be there.

4. I never said that you said you wanted to be legendary. The point I was trying to make was, why not go with a proven good build?

1. i can't comment :P

2. ok maybe 20%, but look on the overal damage aspect

3. no they don't gonna always be there, but with full maxed ice wall i could survive 1 stun, if the ice wall is gone, i should try to phantom away?

4. why did you wrote it in the post you wrote before?
and...well like i said we are now looking at the 80 cap, someone has to proove that it could be good at 90 cap? maybe it fails no one knows....

and i like maybe a bit of a challenge, im not saying i want to be unique, but i think for example a glavier is very easy to play, just spawning 3 skills, not much of a challenge

i think you heard all my arguments

Really, go to see damage contest and hibrid crits (including 1:2 int spears crits) and compare it agianst full str crits with sosun.

3. Your friends won't always be there.

As was previously stated he has to be smart fighting and he will not need them  .

Last time I checked liquid was at the top of the hybrid list with a sosun bow, but besides that. Hybrids crit just as hard or harder then str bows.

What makes me stay with my str bower is the hp. I just get good gear and I will make up for the damage, but you cant make up for a few k hp with good gear.

IMO its just not worth to get more average damage then so much less HP.

And not everyone likes to have a fun build grinding endlessly to get to level 80.

Oh snaps.

Go garms for 70:70 hybrid builds. You run faster and you wont die that quick to nukes. Str builds will still have to chase you :D.

I think that people too often forget that this is a game, and it is meant for fun, nothing more. I personally like playing with the bow because it fits my style of play and it is enjoyable to play, so my advice is to play with whatever you like to play with.

There are a few really amazing str bows out there ... and there are a number of hybrid bows that are coming along really well. I really think that what it all comes down to is knowing your character and how to play it. Bows are not easy weapons to play compared to a glavie. Glavies with a pure str build are probably the easiest and most fool proof build there is on SRO.

Bows are fun but they are not for everyone.

so true

if you don't know how to fight, be pure str and button bash on 4 buttons (imbu,e sss, sst, gpm) and for the ''smart'' glavies maybe some combo's

sorry no offence against glaivers, imo they arn't hard to play with

why???? atm bow is really relying on crits, with knock back stun, they can finally concentrate not to crit only, so no need to be pure str??

wrong, if bow was only to use strongbow for stun and arrow chain for knockback, he would be like a ranged blader with low hp and no shield. without relying on crits u would do 4k dmg non crit on 30k hp of glaive

and also, i have to admit, as many others have stated in guides, bow is purely for the fun of using a bow, not winning in pvp and failing at pve to nuker.if u want to survive to ahve fun use str bow or no bow at all.

bow is good at lower lvls though
