Well I see you didn't use the word 'all', but why should we all be punished for what others do? There will always be people who bot and buy gold, and there will always be people that don't. Those that don't should not have to be treated like they do.

hey u editted ur post after i quoted lol anway yes there is no such thing as a perfect world. i trust that JM will at least try to do what they can to better the gaming experience and make it more enjoyable although it may seem like sometimes nothing is getting done, "slow and steady wins the race"

ADD: no matter what there will always be some botter or gold bots or gold buyers, etc. its just like no matter how strict the laws are someone will break them "shit happens"

V. PLAYER BOTS

We are working on balancing the amount of users taking advantage of Bot programs in game on top of our monthly Bot bans.

Wait a minute...WTF? This sentence is gibberish. Is Morningdew just using babblefish to interpret a Korean memo?

If she's trying to say "we're trying to regularly ban botters on all servers in addition to the regular once-per-month server bot bans," then I think she needs to figure out what the word "balance" means because it has no use in that sentence. Maybe she meant "banning" as in "we're working on banning the amount..."

If she's trying to say "there will always be a balance of legits and bots in the game and we're trying to find a point at which everyone is happy," then I'd like to know that right now.

Call me an optimist, but I always foresaw a bot-free silkroad. Maybe not this month or next, but by the end of the year, hopefully (or at least substantial progess).

But yeah, if this memo was designed to ease the fears of legit players who love silkroad, silk buyers and non-silk buyers, it is dogshit. Massive dogshit.

lol you people amuse me. you all say things like this and yet you STILL spend 30mins+ every day trying to log on during peak times. you STILL grind for hours against bots which will do the same work in half the time. you STILL play every day despite all the things that are wrong in the game. why? because you all love this game, and you know it.

the simple fact is that SRO is NOT dying, nor will it ever die until Joymax pulls the plug. why? because it is an attractive-looking, well put-together game with interesting skills, a unique combat system, and thousands of players - both paying and non - spread across the world in every time zone. what you all fail to realize is that for every one of you who comes on here and a) quits, b) complains constantly about things they can't control, or c) bashes JM for the quality of their experience, there are 50 more of us who just log on every day and enjoy it for what we can get out of it. bots suck. not being able to log in sucks. the inflated economy sucks. but i love this game. i love the people in it, i love my guild and union, and i spend the majority of my small amount of free time either playing SRO or dealing with it elsewhere, such as being admin here at SRF.

Joymax are not liars. They are not lazy. They are not in league with gold buyers. They are not in league with bot companies. The truth is that they are working their asses off every day to make this game a success. they are NOT sitting there in Korea living like fat rats lining their pockets with our money and doing nothing. here's something to ponder: just because you can't see something doesn't mean it's not there. just because you have NO IDEA what happens daily in the JM office doesn't give you the right to assume ANYTHING about how those men and women do their jobs.

my advice for all the complainers, the JM bashers, the quitters, and the other intolerable personalities out there is to either learn to live with and enjoy SRO the way it is or go find another game.

I. SERVERS ARE FULL

This is a good thing. Whether the users playing are following the rules or not does not matter, they are playing and keeping the game servers full, which is what we want. We are not all here to judge users based on there actions, but we will moderate and keep users following the rules like always, but we can not just judge all users and ban them day 1 when the servers are full for someone elses convenience. Not everyone can play at once but we are working on improving the server quality and limit constantly, but remember there will always be times when it will be hard to connect or to laggy to play.

II. GOLD BOTS

Gold Bots still exist because people are paying for their services, if you want them gone do not promote them, do not purchase there services, ignore them. We are still working out a way to get rid of them from the game though, we do not want the game economy to go down the drain.

III. SPAMMERS

All users are spamming in game for several reason, even on the forums when users bump their posts and request the same thing over and over again. All we can do is moderate the community and keep it down over time. New programs to limit spam in game will take time, but if you have a suggestion please post it in the Player Suggestion section.

IV. DISCONNECTING

Random players are not disconnected, a variety of users in game with silk, without silk, afk, active have complained about disconnecting while others have never had the problem. This system is balanced and works for the benefit of all users not just PT ones. Do not tell me you are dcing every 5 mins?

VI. EVENTS

The Easter event was skipped this year but we did not fail to try and entertain our users best we could. More events will be coming in the future especially new ones.

VIII. GMs

Our GMs go in game to take care of the Bots and check for in game issues within the community. We are there and working hard for you, sorry we have not been visible as much as users wanted, but hopefully we can change that in the future.


IX. SILK

Silk is a necessity to keep the game running and we will continue to improve the quality of the game to satisfy users who wish to support SRO. Hopefully we can change your mind sometime down the road.

This will not be a sticky, but if you want to add this to player suggestions with more detail on the suggestions, I would be happy to sticky it their.

Last thing please users limit your spam on the forums and in game as well the crude language, there is always an alternative, always a choice.

Issuing a very defensive, dismissive memo on the heels of their Euro announcement is bizarre. I'm sure there are many players who have quit over the last 6 months but have a renewed interest due to euro. When they come to the forums and find a response like this, I imagine they say, "oh right, that's why I quit" and don't even bother trying out euro. Just bizarre.

Truth is, i am disconnecting every 5 minutes. Since when?

Since 17/18 of June. The day the place the notice of frequent disconnection. Of which were taken out while the problem still remains.

Eventhough I play WoW, I must say, they may not ignore their costumers, but they ignore the gameplay. Yup, in the past few months a number of botters in WoW have increase. And you guys know that "Granado Espada" game that a few people were bragging about a few weeks ago about how its so much better then SRO... well... they have bots up and running already!!... =\ ...

Sad aint it... 2Moons will be the same story.

And I have yet to find an MMO free of gold sellers and power levelers.

WTF...no your not...not at all, in the past year they could of solved this
problem by downing and upgrading the servers... 1 maybe 2 weeks worth
of work max. but instead we get a new server every other month and it

well of course if the bots buy silk , JM is not gona ban them isro has no sponcers so JM has to pay out of ther own companys pocket. so they need all the money they can get.

increasing the server capacity and making new server costes them money. so dont be mad at JM. JM need all the money and they get the money from item mall, JM does have the option to make this game PAY TO PLAY but they dont do it because they want everyone to be able to play. so just live with wat JM has given u. or u can simply quite the game.

I think its a good game, which could be made better once they've resolved some of the major obstacles in it for legit players. It might take a while, but I think its worth waiting for .

When I finally got in, there was only one page in the party menu. Where have all the other players gone? Do they not party? I can't believe all of them are afk stalling. And even player bots need parties. So the only reason is because of gold bots, filling up server slots.

It is no good telling people to stop buying gold. Even if 99.9% of people don't buy gold, there'll always be a few rich spoilt kids who buy. I don't claim to have the answer, but appealing to people's good senses certainly isn't one of them.

I agree with tombbb on the gold bots part. What MorningDew says here is ofcourse true, but imho rather naive. It is like saying that you don't need police if we'd all just be nice and don't do illegal things. It's very good in theory, but nothing more than an utopia in the end.

And they should surely be able to increase their customer service and bot-control through GMs, as money can't be the problem here. SRO is quite an expensive MMORPG if you buy PT, pet etc. At least when compared to other MMORPGs.

Her entire post makes me think that JM kind of likes all the goldbots, as they force people to buy a PT by crowding the servers. Though I don't believe that they would 'own' any goldbots etc (as they could just as easily reduce max server capacity and sell gold if they wanted to).

As far as the part about the prices go, I don't mind things being expesive... else everyone would be able to buy a SOSun weapon (no, I don't have one... I'm just lvl 38 anyway). Her response does seem to contain the message that they won't do a thing about bots etc at all, but that they'll just leave everything the way it is and let us deal with it.
