Hunter (bow) build

Post by djshoester »

Hey guys, im new to this game so sorry for the noob questions. I have been looking around and im still confused on some things.

1st- i dont know wether to go pure str or pure int, ive seen this video on youtube (http://youtube.com/watch?v=vLodgEqZNT4) with a hunter and i absolutly love the way he built his character but im not sure if its int or str based.

2nd- i have been hearing that i should first use sword or spear then switch to bow at lvl 31 but i dont know how i would change the skills, and that i should also farm sp at lvl 16 using glaive and im really confused on that part.

3rd- what kind of mastery is best? (lightning, fire, ice, or force?)

Im sorry about all the trouble and the noob questions, if there is a another topic on this stuff plz post that instead of typing it all out to save the trouble.

Thank you very much for your time guys!! :D

1st question.. i dunno

2nd question.. best is to start off with bow and swap to other weapon later on
or to keep bow all the way. with bow, you level hard first few levels since you
dont have to run to the monsters.

3rd question.. all have their good things

fire - strongest imbue strongest nukes ~ a MUST for str chars
light - magic buffs, speed buffs, nukes ~ a MUST for int chars
ice - freeze (not in pvp on high lvl ppl get immune), defense, AoE nukes
force - heal, revive, protecting circle

just pick what you like and read through the guides to see
what the different builds normally use.

He is pure STRfire/bow

If you want to be like that, add STAT points to STR, level up these masteries;

Pacheon - ALL skills
Fire - ALL skills (except the nukes, flame-wave-arrow e.t.c)
Lightning - All buffs, dont get imbue, dont get nukes or shouts

Dont bother with force until later levels when u can decide.

OK well you looking for what I have been striving to build so far its going ok lvl 2 hunter at lv 37 aint bad. You Will Need ALL OF THE BUFFS if you go my way Str Hyb.. I use Light Imbue & Bezerker arrow the most, It takes care of npc thieves and is a must for both skills altho the imbue dosent need to be leveled to hi. Fire for Strongbow and Attacks on player thieves and also if your willing to farm for the SP Cold Imbue Multi Arrow Combo on them would be v Handy if they aren't immune Which they wont be when they fix this silly bug. For more info pm me also read the little bit I wrote on teh Question of Jobs Builds in the Q&A in the Forum

2nd- i have been hearing that i should first use sword or spear then switch to bow at lvl 31 but i dont know how i would change the skills, and that i should also farm sp at lvl 16 using glaive and im really confused on that part.

Dont bother you'll be too busy !!!

all you need to SP farm is for you to be 9 levels higher than your highest mastery.

for example.

Character lvl 16
Highest Mastery 7
= 9 lvl gap. = SP Farming.

Keeping a 9 Level Gap between your character level and your highst mastery optimizes the amount of sp experience you get from killing monsters.

im a pure str fire bow too :) but im thinking of switching to ice out of personal preference.

sox is a collection word for sos, som and sosun.

sos = seal of star and is as strong as an item approx. 5 levels above it.
som = seal of moon and is as strong as an item approx. 10 levels above it.
sosun = seal of sun and is as strong as an item approx. 15 levels above it.

better the bow, more damage you do, quicker you gain skillpoints.

no. imbue is a skill to put a magical effect on your weapon. this does not only
increase your attack damage, but can also cause status effects like burn,
freeze, electro shock.

Ahh ok, and i take it that you use alchemy to make your weapons sox series.

Well that about wraps everything up for me, i hope this will help other people out there also so all you pros dont need to retype it over and over again.

Thanks for all your help and time. I know noob questions can get annoying but thanks for staying with me! :D :D :D

just one thing.

if somebody asks you if you want him to make your item into a sox, dont
trust him he will scam you. sox cannot be made.

elixirs are for enhancing items, that means adding a +.
