You assign it, but you are going to want to be pure because your weapon only does physical, or only does magical attack.
Only rational hybrid would be super duper heavy int hybrid, and that would be PURELY for hp. Because for chinese, if you do int hybrid you get extra physical attack as well, for euro you don't.

Yeah, but this isn't bad.
Magicians use nukes (so they're like nukers, and they won't be annoying kd nukers
Warriors only have physical attack, but their attacks are auto imbued. Dual axes have ice. Dual swords have light. Double handed sword has fire.

A general party in my guild considering its pretty small, consists of me (Tanker) My role is to protect and give defensive buffs, that without them my friends who are lower than the mobs we fight would be dealt over 1.5k from Elite Penons, with buffs this damage is reduced to under 400, I also lure monsters and make sure the monsters are kept onto me while the Wizard does his damage dealing goodness. (Wizard) He does bigger damage on Penons Fighters than a Lvl 60 Chinese and is only lvl 50 Himself, he can also use Cleric in emergencies and has a wide array of buffs.
(Cleric) Keeps party alive, does Strength and Intelligence buffs which at Max Level can add over 50~60 Str and Int, which can result in a Phy or Mag balance of over 115% + the Str or Int on your gear.
So in general a 3 man party that consists of the Police (Tanker/Protector) (Ambulance/Medic) and (Military Nuclear Weapons

No European class has imbues, Warriors have absolutely no Magical powers, Casters have absolutely no Phyiscal powers its one or the other, and their more refined at what they do a European Wizard will outdamage anything, a Rogue will outcritcal anything a Sword/Shield will outtank everything, so its a choice, one or the other oh and ABSOLUTELY NO IMBUES.

Euro chars have a whole different set of skills. i.e. you won't be seeing the same skills window as you would with Chinese chars. So yea basically no force masteries or imbue (i think). The mastery classes are generally organized according to character type and you pick the skills your char uses.

In euro you either go int or str...choose one
I say this because: All melee classes have "absolutely" NO magic attacks and will want to maxmize their melee damage
And all magic classes are screwed when they run out of mp (ESPECIALLY CLERICS!!!!) so you will also want a bard and cleric in your parties.
A perfect party (so far I have been in is)
2 cleric
1 bard
3 dd (crossbow,wizard,longswordsmen,warlock,rogues)
2 tanks (any class that wears heavy armour)

and about bards what do they do??
Usually in a party you will need maybe 2 bards, because a bard has to do one of the various different party buffs for the other Bard to do the Magical or Physical Attack upgrades, that can range from 10~40% increase, they also replenish party members MP and can use buffs for phy or mag attack absorbtion.

Lol.. damn straight
Most of the time Clerics or Bards are taken up as a 2nd class, usually by pure strength players, due to mroe survivability. But if you want to use the most powerful attack in the game you'll be pure int cleric.

You have 9 different weapons:
One hand sword,
Two hans sword,
Dagger,
Crossbow,
Duel Axes,
Staff,
Warlock rod,
Harp,
Cleric rod.
the first 5 are the str weapons or power and close range weapons, and those last 4 are the magical or int. the harp can't even be used in physical attacks
