Received mail from joymax

Post by Magnum357x »

I know it's fake, so I didn't even respond:

Hello, This is [GM] Tarky from the Joymax Technical Support.
We get a report from five players saying that you have used a bot client, it's why we absolutely need you're ID and PW as soon as possible to do an inspection to you're account, this inspection will take 12 hours as maximum, and it will permit to us to know if you really used a bot client or not.
If you don't send you’re ID and PW to that address SRO_Joymax@yahoo.com you're account will be banned from all the servers.
Thank you.

Well... First of all, he never said my nick (he probably got my email from this forum) Second if he is joymax he can get my PW and ID, Third he used "you're" instead of "your"

Congrats on bragging that you weren't stupid enough to fall for that. Definitely warranted a post.
I'm in your posts, stealing your quotes.

Lol, you mean the new rent-a-mods.

don't make the mistake of thinking that the people chosen as the new members of the mod staff are anything less than full-fledged mods, with allt eh powers and priviledges associated with that title. they deserve - and demand - the same respect you would give to the other mods, or to myself.

if you continue to find yourself unable to give that respect, your stay here will be short. consider that a very strong warning.

Makes no sense. Then every mod would be a rent-a-mod since they have all become mods in basically the same way....

+1.

Also, I don't get how ANYBODY could fall for this.

@Yahoo.com? Yeah, I'm sure joymax will use a yahoo account.

Don't you know that all websites are capable of making email accounts? It simply means that the username and information is hosted at that site... If you know what I mean.

Also, they always say GMs will never ask for ID or PW.

Only time you should ever be concerned is if it's from Admin@silkroadonline.net or something like that.
