Yea it works but here a guid to do it
1.go to silkroadonline.net register and download.
2.Download with neffy(install if don't have) wait till intalled
3.In the middle of 2nd download it will come up an error wait untill it says options "Intall correctly and This program is installed" click install correctly(this comes up randomly you might have to download a few times but it is worth it)
4.then click the destop icon then the start up comes then wait till the start up download is finished it will come up an error at the end then just Restart your comp then go to start then cilck "start". that my way anyway.

Windows was never been my best choice of OS anyways =) but to answer your problem...
YES it works with Vista
things u need to check in order for you to run SRO on vista
1) updated chips / mobo / vdcard / etc
2) make sure you are running SRO under Administrator
some have problems regarding direct x issues it will be fix by updating your chips with the right drivers for it
problems regarding freeze on character select screen "i ask help on this forum, the official one also with the promising 0**3 site for programmers that deals with sro, not mentioning name of site cause of issues regarding previous weeks, and "2 other fan sites forum like srf" i got 0 results to solve teh problem... what i did was i call tech support for other game Flyff and Khan here on Philippines, a Filipino tech specialist told me.... its video card problem he made me download at http://www.intel.com for updated drivers... "which vista don't detect that the video card have update already" so i did update it manually.... right now im running SRO on my vista//feisty lappy "both working at vista and feisty"
some screenies: taken using vista OS "full grafix mode" with NO lag
