I think i am for it ....i mean u have a older person like say 60/70ish with cancer and all these other dieses and stuff and there going to die within the next 6 months....there constantly in pain and suffering....if they want to end the pain and suffereing now they should be allowed to by assissted sucide....normal sucide is wrong......but doing it medically i dont really see the problem. its up to them. if they dont want to suffer and be in pain let them end it.....i believe that medically assissed sucide is better than then suffering and in pain for those last months...let them die peacefully with the assissed sucide....

Why are you for assisted suicide, but you think normal suicide is wrong? That makes absolutely no sense.

Besides that, I think it should be legal for all the reasons you listed. It's totally gay that it's not legal anyways, whoever thought it should be illegal is a dipshit.

I agree. If it's a definitely a terminal illness and the person has days to live in pain and suffering and it's their will to die, we should honor that.

However, there are cases where doctors told people they will die but they're wrong. And it's not 'unethical' for doctors to terminate life since it's their sworn code to preserve life. Not to mention there's always a possibility that a new technology or medicine that could cure a person completely so something is terminal is not so terminal.

Hmm, I never thought of that... But if they really do want to die, then I guess they can. I mean, most people that want to die don't want to die just because they're ill, but they generally don't enjoy life anymore anyways.
Maybe there should be like a waiting period, lol. But that would just make the person suffer more if a cure wasn't found...
I dunno, I still stick by my "legal" vote though.

There's a big difference between assisted suicide and suicide.
Assisted suicide is an act to deliver someone from incurable pain. Why would anyone be harsh enough to let someone suffer for no reason.

"Normal" suicide is an act done by healthy people. It has nothing to do with suicide. Most people who commit suicide have other problems as incurable pain.

Sure sometimes people cure against all odds. The chance it will happen is low. But some people are lucky.
But if everyone should suffer because they have a 0,01% chance of survival isn't something I'd call an argument against assisted suicide.

Who says that someone doesn't commit suicide because of illness? They could also be depressed, and imo, if I was depressed I wouldn't be able to stand it for more than a month.
Depression (medical depression) is like the worst thing that can happen to you. And I wouldn't take antidepressants, those things are gay and make you commit suicide (lol, and I was just saying I would do that anyways).

Euthanasia is the word.
It sounds so much better as assisted suicide.
Suicide always leaves a trace of negativism behind, which is sad in this case.
