Hehe sorry, it's just that he got me in the pk2 world i can't help comparing due to the fact that almost all edits we have tried to do have already been achieved by him...

Though what i meant in that post wasn't comparing, i was just trying to say that making tuts can be hard and at the end people just show off because making a specific tut for each edit can be annoying.

Again, i'm sorry, i guess it bothers you a lot...

Btw i never said such thing as "better than" it was Rainigul if i remember correctly who express his opinion i that way in the first SCArchon nuke edit.

For example, I can change the looks of my armor. Anything beyond that, I have no clue how to do. It'd take a year for me to learn how the hell to do what SCArchon just did. I don't even understand what the hell is going on when we edit the file. It's true that we all have the POTENTIAL to learn about PK2 editing, and how to edit files like Cruor and SCArchon can, but not all of us can, at the present, even come close to doing that.

So, in that aspect, anybody like Cruor, or SCArchon DOES do a "better" job - you have to figure out where the files are located, how to alter them... do all that crazy kind of stuff, without corrupting any of the files.

I'm not capable of doing any of that.

Sadly people are too narrow minded to understand what I was implying. I was stating the fact that we can all LEARN to do this. Pk2 editing a nuke big deal .. takes 20mins if that of your time. Given enough practice I reckon even raningul could do the above nuke.

I state again "as we are all capable of the same" Yes we can .. I started off pk2'ing with clothing .. had a hard time with that. Now after practice I can make a full 'mod' in the pk2. Change the whole appearance of the Silkroad interface ... change whole quests, make every 10 lvl a wolf change into something random, skill editing .. etc etc. All in literally 5 mins. If you are really into it .. nothing is hard.

I know soooooo many people that can do a 10x better job than ANYTHING you have seen on this forum ... but the prefer for themselves not to be shown in public. I mean take 0x33 .. they have AMAZING pk2'ers .. never brag about their shit yet they are GODS compared to what we seen here. Yet they all say ... I just been at it longer than you. Nothign like .. yup I'm a GOD suck on this ....

I could become a major league pitcher if I worked hard enough. The real thing to admire is not the outcome, but the process that achieved it. Even though you can do something, it doesn't mean you will, unless you put yourself at it, and that's where people differ from the "holy crap amazing nuke" to "shit I give up." Also I'm 99% sure Cruor didn't brag about being able to pk2 edit, I mean hell if I turned my wolf into Cerebus I would want to share it with others also. The only reason people refer to others nearly or better than Cruor status is because he is the most well know pk2 editor here. If people on the forums had seen what 0x33 members can do, I'm sure they would treat them the same way.

Not advised because you would need to change every single piece of armor you intend on using to female too. And then you might as well just do a complete gender swap for all characters because any male characters wearing those items will look messed up.

If you still want to do it, look at any non-"find and replace" tutorial for changing equipment. It's the same concept. Find the piece of equipment you want to replace, add wo before the man_item in its BSR file path, then remove unnecessary file paths in the file and pad with null bytes to preserve file size. In fact, since you are only adding two characters to each line you could probably just go to the start of the line and remove four byte's worth of Korean characters out of the item's description. For changing the character model, you should look around for a tutorial on changing transports since you are dealing with characterdata.txt.

Anyway, -1 to everyone arguing over who did what first. That shouldn't be an issue. A perfect community of PK2 editors would be modeled after the open source community. Everyone gets respect and everyone shares information. The more information is shared, the easier it is for newcomers to find it, and the higher their chances of actually learning stuff instead of mindlessly following tutorials and going on to try to find something new. Everyone should collaborate. My suggestion for a goal to try to reach is changing the colors of SoX stuff. I know it's possible, so get on it.
