SRO SRF and 0x33 are all separate, keep it that way. Dont start something you cant finish.

To the members of 0x33:

THANK YOU. Being in the position i am in i know full well how difficult - if not impossible - it is to influence, let alone control, the behavior of the members of a community. Every community has its good and bad members, and it seems that some of yours chose to show their bad side here instrad of on your forum. It was dealt with, thanks mostly to Key-J and the dilligence of many of our more caring members who PMed and MSNed me about things <3.

Apology accepted. I PMed minty during the whole debacle yesterday saying that in no way does the actions of a few retards cause me to assume that every member of 0x33 is an irresponsible, irreverant jerk. While it's more than clear here that our members disagree strongly, even vehemently, with what your forum stands for and supports, most of us it seems have enough maturity to acknowledge the fact that apologizing was the right thing to do.

To the members of SRF who felt the need to flame in this topic:

News Flash!! YOU ARE NO BETTER THAN THE SPAMMERS WE FOUGHT YESTERDAY. If your name is Twysta, BuddahBless, Mage PKer, PureOwnage, etc., do yourself a favor and keep your mouths shut. You are doing more harm than good. Flaming is as much against forum policies as bot admission and support. NONE of the 0x33 members who posted here apologizing to you glorified botting anywhere on this board. NONE of them gave you any reason to flame them. You all carry around a can of gasoline and a lighter with you every time you visit a thread and it's going to stop, either because you will stop it or because I will stop it for you.

SRO != SRF.

“Keep the idealism prevalent over realism”. I guess it is what we do, and I appreciate that you guys respect what we do. It is true, we understand that 0x33 is also a community. As we pride ourselves on being a legit forums, to the full of our extent. Keeping everything Anti Bot, clean and safe for our users. We also pride ourselves on the community we have built here. Your forums are also one of community. It might be a botter community yet it is a community none the less, and like us. You pride yourselves on being the number one community, however in this case for bots.

Yet you see, even though we keep our community Anti Bot, this does not mean that we go around, telling our users that 0x33 are gay suckers. That 0x33 are Un-loved losers. We especially do not go around Photo Shopping your Admin’s faces and putting them in completely disgusting and inappropriate pictures. When we say Anti Bot, we simply mean that we remove any links or topics to bots, and yes. We ban those who have been proven to bot. Because we want to keep our forums as legit as we can.

Now, yes I appreciate for your apology and forgiven you are, not the people who did the spamming. Just those in the 0x33 who felt ashamed by the actions of those rouge members. Yes, it’s true that controlling all your members all the time seems to be impossible, especially when their actions are outside the forums. However, I do hope that if your apology was sincere that they are also severely dealt with in the 0x33 forums. However, I’m lead to believe that this was not completely unpremeditated, as certain members of your forums have proposed creating chaos spam in our forums before. Yet I do believe that those are not the only ones which should be dealt with on your forums. For you know better than I do the degrading posts that your forum has about SRF.

Do you really think it is appropriate and just? We have never publicly degraded 0x33, never have we spammed your forums with topics about legits or how bots are the suck. We have always kept to a professional manner. Even though our two forums are on the opposite sides of the SRO playing world, we have never stooped so low as to mimic the actions of not only your 0x33 members but also your Moderators, Privileged members, and even an Admin if memory serves me right. And yes, I do believe you know exactly what I’m talking about.

However, now I must say that I am also disappointed in the responses some of our members gave, no matter how you feel towards the Botters of SRO; this was not the place to express your anger. This was a thread of apology for the guilt and shame that was brought over 0x33 as they understand that what their members did was completely out of line and inappropriate.

So, to summaries I appreciate your apology, and yes I do believe it to be sincere. Hopefully the members in question have been dealt with on the 0x33 forums. And they will not go unpunished. However, I must make this clear, although this incident between SRF and 0x33 has hopefully come to a close. It does not mean that we are tolerant of Botters; we will continue to be a strictly Anti Bot forums. We will continue to retain our completely professional attitude and will in no way retaliate to what has been done; we hope that you will dish out the appropriate punishments yourselves.

Well I may be posting way late after the whole waves of "WE LESS THAN THREE 0x33" and "OMFG STFU BOTTERS RAWR" drama... but...

Alot of botters say that, and I've been told this by an actually botter in-game, they have better things to do than play a game that wastes time... and that botting is just another way of leveling faster than legits key grinding...

Allow legits to play... we interact, make friends... and what do bots do...

Cause masive server traffic, spam grinding areas with nukes, ks... but a plus in bots I'm assuming... is that they make pretty easy targets for PKing and spawning that's what....

As far as my actions go in the 0x33 thread, I have no excuse for them. But I will say this. I didnt go into that thread trying to flame. A certain group of people (you know who they are I mentioned their names and now for the people who cannt see the obvious it wasnt the 0x33 guys it was members from these very forums who posted those things) brought out the flames in me by posting how cool botters are and how they hate legits. Yet I still should have not flamed. For that I am sorry. Sad

i can speak for the majority here that we accept your appology but i doubt some will due to the link between 0x33 and bots but to me that dont matter its the person behind that char that matters

Eye Opening stuff from the bot crew, but I feel re-assured that there are people out there trying to control or at least influence the botting and so on done.

There will always be evil in the world, because without it we wouldnt have good. To those who couldn't accept the apology flaming off to this I would interpet to be equal to you justifying your position. What is it you feel so insacure about ??? Possibly 1* popping poor little noobs ?

Btw Im not defining bottting evil, its just the other side to the equation as the one would say.

If you were referring to me as one of those persons know that I dont hate all legits I just dislike the whiny ones, and Im not saying botters or botting is/are cool but just that I have the same amount of friends who bot than legits. And that often botters are relaxed persons that focus on social behavior, but I just think you coldnt know that since you distant yourself from bots while I am in a union with some botters. I live amongst some of them, talk to them, pvp them, trade and hunt with them, spawn mobs with them, have fun with them.

Also; for the record: I am not a 0x33 member :wink:

But i imagine that having the name of the forum in the sign, admits you are a member and so, could be considered as a bot... though i'm sure that it's kinda unfair but maybe they have had problems with it in the past and that's the way they decided to solve it... i don't know though...

As for having 0x33 in sigs, we have a zero tolerance policy with 0x33 (excluding this thread). As a general rule, we do not accept it in this forum. I don't think you can deny that 0x33 is affiliated with SRO bots.

We prohibit:

Promotion, distribution, or support of botting, hacking, or the use of other 3rd party programs.

Any mention in 0x33 in signatures is considered promotion of botting.

It may be degrading. But that's just the way it is.

I also hope that certain members of our forum do not give us a bad image just because some members of 0x33 tried to give themselves a bad name.

I can read SG's post too. I honestly don't know why you are posting because I have rarely seen you help any situation and personally I find anything you write to be offensive.

I just want to add in:

0x33 isn't just about bots or cracks. There are a lot of positive things that come out of it. Many of "our" members don't even play anymore, but they love the community. We have people on a dedicated PK2 team, some programmers working on a tool to tell you when a Unique spawns in case your stalling or something, and a large amount of people to help you with your artistic requests. I know they've saved my ass for a Chemistry project.

We have a great community. We're not like 258 that has the majority of users screaming their heads off about a bug in a tool someone made.

Oh, yea, SRF purty cool.

I could write a whole dissertation on the topic of why that does not matter. But I find for some people a graphic is more usefull. That and graphics are cool.

All that other stuff is all fine and well and does not alter the balance of the game one bit. And we don't care if you write or use it one bit. Good for you. It is that other thing 0x33 is known for is the reason they are not liked or allowed to be linked to here. And all the other little innocuous apps you write will never make up for how wrong that was.

Thank you 0x33 members for the apology for the spammers. But when is 0x33 going to apologize for enabling botters?
