Joymax and the 300 Mastery cap...
I am about to post this on official forums but thought I'd post here also to see everyones opinions
First of all, are we positive that the cap is not going to be raised in 90 cap addition? Will it ever be raised or will we have force/weapon once at the 150 cap in 5+ years?
Secondly, why would Joymax not raise the mastery cap? It sounds retarded to me because if they have more mastery cap then more players grinding, more active game, more people using tickets/pets/various item mail and therefore JM makes even more money from people attaining all the sp needed for more than 300 cap skills AND there would be more skills used per person which make the game more fun and difficult at higher lvls and more people will play because it will have even more variation.
NOT TO MENTION with higher masteries it would mean more sp farming and longer for people to get to the cap fully farmed which would give the company even more time to get consecutive updates ready to go....
I know I would be more motivated to play if i could have fire/light/ice/hesukal all at lvl 90....

Its shoudln't be raised anyway, its so that the higher your lvl, the less of EVERYTHING you can have, if its raised and you are able to get everything whats the point of even having it, higher lvls will be more different because of it.
Now your gonna have to pick whats most useful to you or what you want, what will help you be stronger for your build and w/e, instead of "oh I just 100k sp for everything" *grinds*.

At 90 With the new skill the 300 mastery cap will not be raised so it will be like ksro (90 cap and 300 mastery cap) tbh i dont care it jsut means characters will just take more planning to decided about what masteries people will choose. but then again this is alot about the mana shield end the end of the day but who is sure that its gonig to be that good. Most of us (probably all) who have seen it have only seen it in one video it might turn out to be pants.

Exactly <3 Dj
I love these people that whine about it .. When your lvl 1 and look through the guides for the very first time to check the game .. it clearly advises you to take 2 Skill trees.,........

very simple, they want variety, @ the 70 cap EVERYONE had three force trees cept the werid dual weapon ppl (like me) and every build became generic and stale, u could guess what they were gonna do before they did it... in short, it got boring
If the 150 cap does come, I think they might keep the 300 mastery, so we only get 2 trees, unfortunately, that does not lead to variety, if they had a 400 mastery cap or 450 it might be more interesting, for the 90 cap they should keep it

At max level cap (150) you get 2 skill trees. They want SRO to have a variety of different players who need to work together.
If you choose fire, you choose building your character based on strength and magical defence.
If you choose ice, you choose building your character on physical defense and the ability to slow down your opponent.
If you choose lightning you choose building your character based on magical power and speed.
If you choose force, you choose building your character based to be a supporting character and heal your team / weaken your enemy.
With a variety of choices like that, you're not fighting the same build with the same buffs over and over again. Therefore its not retarded, its practical.

and if you choose weapon, you must be a pure str chracter
i guess by then all ints will only have cold and fire or cold and light

Alright... here's a point as to why the 300 mastery cap be somewhat stupid... If you go force and say weapon [if you were pure str...], you woul barely even be able to grind... The only viable force build would have to be a pure int or hybrid int so that you could say, go lightning and force...
As to the pure ints going just fire and light or light and ice... Neh, I think more will go hybrid and keep a weapon and just light then stick with two elemental trees. I already went 10 lvls of hybrid, and for the 150 cap with just 2 masteries, I'm going light and heuksai. I'll have hp from the passive to make up for the defense buffs I'd miss out on from fire and ice, and I maintain speed, increased magical defense, and some decent nukes.

nitesoulja wrote:yes but at 150 is the mastery isnt raised everone will use light...light and which ever weapon -_-...
for pure str,
1)weapon and fire= fire imbue, mag def and new fireskill(they say able to see through europe invisibility skill???no idea)
2)weapon and cold= since u mention ppl will use weap and light, lesser ppl have cold immune, and even if ppl pick fire, the fireshield will be changed to %, so maxed of that skill will not even be 100% cold immune(freezing n frostbite is now revived!!!)
3)weapon and light= speed and mag power boost
for pure int,
1)bicheon + cold(best int tanker with mana shield, castle shield and cold def buff, icewall and KD)
2)bicheon + fire(something the same with the one explained above yet int will have castle shield and KD)
3)biehcon + light(something the same explained above yet int will use castle shield and KD)
4)cold + fire(something the same mentioned above yet they have mana shield)
5)cold + light(something same mention above yet int will use mana shield)
6)fire + light (best dmg output)
same goes fo heuksal with whichever force series you want
INT rocks cause they always have more variations unlike str...
NOW... u r good as long as ur pure and sticks with ANY TWO skill trees
HOPE this helps all the people who cant think in a wider view...thanks

I personally think hybrids will be better off then pures... Here's my reason... [this is int hybrids btw, cuz well, str hybrids tend to suk]. Alright... lets go about this... If you are say a 30-str int hybrid [ie. 10 lvls of str] you'll have a naked balance of like 87% at this cap. If you go pure int from there to the 90 cap, you'll have 89%. And so on... Sitting at the 150 cap, this would provide a significant hp boost, but compared to the total of int you [could/should] have as a pure at the 150 cap, your magic % will still be almost 96%... This also means, unless the amount of int that you can put on your gear significantly increases from the 6int/6str you can put on your gear at the 90 cap, that getting a 100% balance might actually be difficult. ie. a hybrid will be better off. [Going another 30 str around the 120 cap would drop your balance a bit, but then again yield significant hp increase]
pure int lvl 140
hp : 24935
mp: 90332 [note lol... pure str will have like 90k hp lol]
magic balance : 97%
hybrid int lvl 140 with 30 str
hp : 30000
mp: 85628
magic balance : 92%
hybrid int lvl 140 with 30 str
hp : 34345
mp: 80923
magic balance : 87%
and just for fun:
pure str lvl 140
hp : 90332
mp : 24936
phys balance : 98%
Anyways, that's just showing hybrids will do better off then pure ints. Another reason, is also that hybrids are more rounded... Ie... we don't necessarily depend more significantly on a tree to balance out our weaknesses. Pure ints need/want ice for the lack of hp and physical defense, pure str need fire [besides for the extra damage] for the magical defense. Hybrids have both the hp and the magical defense we need so going hybrid and just using lightning and a weapon [spear being best... more hp, good damage output] we'll be fine and well off.
EDIT: look at how much hp pure str have compared to pure int O.o

I kinda like the idea of the cap staying at 300, I've already perpared 3 builds for the 150 cap, ^^ s/s thunder nuker, ice archer, and force blader. The cap staying at 300 would force ppl to work more together in building strategys in pvp, guildwars, job wars. Unlike nowadays were ppl just run headfirst into eachother.
