Botting seems to be defined as 'the use of illegal programs', and my question relates to the use of those Hex editors I see mentioned in the guides. Do they count as illegal programs in th eyes of Joymax?
Of course I can't log in at this time, so I've been browsing this forum and watching the odd youtube video to get my silkroad fix any way I can, and I think I can do the PK edit easily enough. But I saw a note on one of the youtube videos, where the maker was almost bragging that PK edit is illegal and it shouldn't be done. Thus I'll refrain from even attempting it until I can be absolutely sure that it is OK with Joymax. I have a level 40 character that I've invested a lot of time making, and I will not risk being banned for no reason.
I was under the impression this fan site is somewhat endorsed by the official SIlk Road site, and thus I would like to assume they are aware of the guides here for PK2 editing, and have no problem with it.
SO what's the OFFICIAL Joymax stance on playing with the PK edit software?

Yesterday I have seen on the offical fourms that any PK2 editing that they find is a bannable offence. I will edit my post if this information changes.
