I took French in high school and the things we studied made it seem like a beautiful, laid back, serene place. Just the type of relaxation I need.
LOL.
When I took my French course, my teacher was a total bitch. Made France seem like a place where you got a detention for if you messed up your grammar.

My first French teacher was real cool. She had a good sense of humor and never bitched.
My second teacher, though was real bitchy and sensitive. But she did hook us up with some good ass French foods - many different cheeses and juices, crepe, and some really good chocolate.

i love French. I love France. i love their music and their food. i hate THE French.
i spent a week in paris. i want it back.
within hours of arrival, one of my group got in a fistfight w/ a street vendor.
the 1st night we had beer bottles thrown at us from a 2nd story window.
the 2nd day a group of the guys on the trip had to start escorting the females everywhere because they were being accosted by the Parisian males.
the 3rd night we were chased out of a nightclub by a guy wielding a hypodermic needle. <shudders>
the 5th day one of our guys was arrested for supposedly shoplifting a €3 figurine of the Eiffel Tower. which was later discovered to have been accidentally knocked behind a larger one and had in fact been done so by the shop's clerk.
inthe airport for the plane back to Brussels we were stuck in customs for 4 hours, more or less because we're americans. they wouldn't tell us while we were being detained, what they were looking for, or whether there was even a problem.
and all this occurred while we had a girl with us who spoke FLUENT FRENCH.
...f.u.c.k. paris, and f.u.c.k. the French.
EDIT: i know there are a few French users on here. You guys rock. do me a favor and go burn paris down for me though? thanks.

lol Sui....You gotta tell me what part of Paris you visited, and what time -_-
If it was November 2005 (or 2006 cant remember!), then you didnt choose the good time....it was the riot month lol, would explain Police being suspicious and people throwing bottles!
And yeah....Pairs is a big town...it's good to visit once, twice...then stop. lol you'd better visit West part of France (Bretagne) or south (cote d'azur + Landes)

France has some nice spots... but my parents took me on holidays to France once too often when I was little for me to still like it.
Though I liked my trip to Paris when I was in highschool. Throwing bottles out of the window of our room on the second floor.... stalking American girls... chasing people with needles and such... had a blast indeed
Seriously though, I loved the 'Languedoc Roussilon'. They had some fabulous wines there.

If you want to correct someone, do it correctly.
"Je ne parle pas français."
c isn't the same a ç
And there's was this thing wether it should be "parler français" or "parler le français". Something to do with if it's was your mothertongue or not.

I stopped over in france briefly, like 4 days with my school for our world tour. Stayed in a northern town called Bitche (pronounced bitch). only like 20k from the german border. Was preety kwl, france is a nice play. But we only got 2 hours to spend in paris, totally unfair.
But everyone should go there, even if they dont speak french, tis nice place!

French is a gay and hard language
But swearing in it sounds cool :>
Never been to France, didn't feel like going there.

always thought parler was the infinitive(to speak), but im quite sure u dont say je ne parle le francais.

Parler is the infinitive.
You can say "Je parle français" and "Je parle le français". As I said 1 is if it's your mothertongue, the other if it's not.
But I didn't know which one is which.
I almost failed French in highschool.
