and run the test without SRO running and see what you get. If it's under about 300-500 kbps, your connection is too shitty to play SRO and you should switch to Road Runner you rich bastard

DX10 Along iwith visa are still conflicting with most DX9 programs, as with the implimentation of straming etc...

from the way i see it you have three options:

Delete Vista

Partition your hard drive and run XP and Vista as a Dual Boot (don't do this if you dont know how, you will just screw up your 5g comp lol.)

Try running SRO in compatability mode for windows xp, right click sro_client.exe go to properties and check Run in compatability for Windows XP

I had vista so it might be a little bity different, had vista for a week and deleted it, went back to XP/Linux Dual Boot.

I went to a "should I upgrade to Vista" seminar at my college a long time ago and after it was done I didn't really wanna upgrade. In fact I felt like I wanted to downgrade to Windows 98 lol.

lower the shadow quality, btw $5.000.- for a pc ? lol idiot, build it yourself or let it build. I got a higher then high end pc myself ( I build it myself ) the parts cost me 1900 euro. And even my pc can't handle the shadow detail.

Yeah, awesome anime. You will farking love it. It's not like any ordinary anime. It was a mini-series though containing 6 episodes only, but it was the best 6 episodes I've ever seen. Really funny too lol. I got the DVD's and I downloaded it too via uTorrent. Probably one of the wierdest anime's too lol but thats why I love it.

Same I have dual core .. no problems ... It's Vista or .. well depending on whats really going on ... Do you lag like at certain times ie. Pressing 'S' to view skills .. or when someone leaves a party .. Then it's your RAM. You never know .. many a times I seen people buy new pc's with shitty or faulty RAM.

Or the obvious solution your connection. Try ending any programs that access internet that are not needed [ Msn, ICQ , Nortan Update ] Those sort of things.

If that don't work ... simply bring it back lol ..

I don't think so, I'm a pc nerd myself looks like nobody can handle the shadows at highest quality. Or you need 2 uber videocard in SLI but that would be to expansive.
when I'm grinding the shadows are fine, untill to many people are displayed they need a shadow 2 so it's nearly impossible ( especially in town )

after reading most os the posts in this topic80% were off topic.

the problem is vista. get a small seconed hd and put xp on it so you can duel boot on start up.

i have helped a few people with the same problem in my union. i just ordered my parts for a new pc that i am building and after seeing all the problems that other vista users are having i added a 2ed hd to install xp for programs that dont run on vista. since you payed 5 grand for a computer i will assume you have no idea what your dong and you have to much money.
if thats the case take it to a computer shop near you and ask them to install a 2ed hd and a copy of windows. yes you can split the other hd but thats just a pain in the ass,

anyway i think i know what i am talking about i went to school for all this crap and making a living doing it.. good luck

mine can't either and I got a dual core 4400+ with a BFG 6600 GT OC
I've heard only ATI cards can draw the shadows well cuz that's what they coded them for but I think they just plain did em wrong lol. Everyone should turn shadows completely off.

Recently i've been getting the same problem. My sro setting are all set to low my resolution is fine and now i can only play for about 3-5 min before it starts lagging like hell and my cpu usage drops to like 2-4% -_-. I checked my connect and its at 900 kps so i tdon't think thats the problem...im gonna try reinstalling it and see what happens

i have dual core vista and tried to put xp on another partition but i cant connect to the internet on the xp one.
