I've only rewatched it once but I saw something important I didn't piece together before. The Solar Eclipse at the end is the same one they use for the title scene "Heroes." Must be something very important. Maybe that's the cause, and people having powers is the effect. Be interesting to see how they'll rationalize that.

It wasn't a point but an emphatic laugh at your sentence.
Are you sure you watched the ep and aren't just conversing to pass the time?
Sylar is alive. The blood trail to the manhole means he escaped and just to make it clear to the audience they added a huge cockroach coming out of the fountain. If you were watching the show you'd know that sylar has been described as a cockroach a couple times.
Anymore points you've looked into?

Right before he dies, you see in his eyes a vision of dying just like I think it were his victims.

Then there's a bunch of people including the police, knowing sylar can't make himself invisible it would be doubtful no one sees him leaving. One has no idea how long it took for the police to be there, the blood loss would be nearly fatal. And when someone's stabbed in the hart, the chance of survival without surgery is nearly zero. If he went into a sewer he'd die from an infection in no time.

And although the lid is lifted from the sewer, it looks like there are bars in front of it but that could be also the bad quality of the vid.

Time will learn us if he's dead or not. If he proves not to be dead, let me know and I'll give you my sincere apologies.

You haven't noticed??

I don't think it's that important and if they make it important in the next season, then they are really stupid..

Those things happen like twice a year..

What really is special, is alignment of all planets. Like in the Lara Croft movie. Maybe the solar eclipse is just a part of that.

When Sylar crusifies Isaac he's still talking instead of sufficating..

He knew he was going to die, or go down, b/c he could tell the future. The only thing he didn't know was Nathan taking Peter up.

People don't know they have powers. Also, he makes his escape when they look up to see the explosion.

Perhaps you forgot that decapitation is the only way to kill him? Otherwise his "clock" rewinds itself.

We know sylar is alive by the clues left to us and the fact that not including the death of the villian in the finale means he is alive.
