Logged in, but no character

My friend has a weird error. He does log in, but when he is at the character select, he doenst see a character standing there. I did log in too and i did see his char, but himself doesnt. Someone knows how to get this fixed?

Maybe he chose a diffrent server by mistake .
He should check if he really has the server selected that holds his char ...
