Go past what your normal settings allow you to do.
Unless you have a really good cooling system, most of the time it is a bad idea.

I you have no experience or information then don't even try it

2 years ago I burned my pc, amd sempron 2,0ghz i tried it to make 3,0ghz lol in one time

then I saw gray smoke coming out of my pc, also made alot of sound

2 years later, I bought myself a 1337 pc. dual core E6600 @ 3,2ghz

nvidea 7900 GTX 512mb

my pc pwns

) and it stoped

so i think from over heating my grafic card
i didnt turn off my pc for 17 days (im allways downloading something) and here is 25-30 C°
