But, after all (In your second sentence) they do have a life... it might be in videogames but it's a life nontheless... i mean, they talk with other people... to say that kind of life is not a life is like saying that no one who connects to the internet is real... it might be a bit pathetic but, as you said, there's their only chance to make friends...

Yup.
I have this guy in my friends list in sro who has no friends IRL, hes talkin about sro like its his own life and sees me as his best friend ever..
He once started about killing himself, comparing his life to his sro life and all.. For some people a game with friends can be life..
Scary but true, one way I see that as a good thing because online they can make friends and have fun, but on the other hand.. I dont think its all that healthy.. Just look at the posters article..

They need a bit of pride... at least pride would allow them not to depend on the game and surpass that feelings... at least it would help them to live with their shy-ness.
Because it's more difficult to change the shy nature of a person than making them proud... still... they like to depend on someone and just because they see a
And to be honest... i don't think the solution is to tell them "go make some friends"... do you notice how hard is to make real friends?
It's not hard at all to find someone to laugh with or to hang out. But these people need someone who listens to them and offers them advices about their lives. Those kind of friends can't be found anywhere.
Or can you tell me that you can go through your door, and be real intimate friends with the first person you find there?

Who knows, who else killed him/her-self because this game. If he execute it, he is only going to become part of statistics..
Nah j/k.
As a matter of fact, That's a serious problem. I value my life, and I don't know how a person can't exchange a life for pixels. And as a serious problem, it need a serious solution. But it is out of our hands.
Ahh, btw, to those who believe themselves as rude guys or iron feelings, I am sorry for them. Because you have another problem, as this suicidal kid.

WEAPON = SOSUN SWORD 64+7 61% mag att
Yea R.i.P for those hoo choose their lifes online games. When he/she get banned, he think hes life is over. He must kill himself.
I have heard a lot of cs[counterstrike] players have died in internet caffes being playing for even 3 days with no break.... He earned headshot and died of shock... Just like World of Warcraft addicter died in 3 or 4 days. He wanted to join somekind of guild and played 3-4 days... To show hes activity , and guild doesnt accept it. And he died in caffe... So these games arent joke... Its reality.. Someone game = life. R.I.P.

This guy is just trying to get attention drawn to him so he can get his character unbanned.
But there have been cases like this in the past. That's why you don't make a game your entire life, you become an overweight recluse that's scared of sunshine and will kill yourself if something goes wrong.
These people need mental help, not pity.

Maybe they think their parents won't listen to them or don't care about them. In many cases this is true... not every family has the pink shaded version of life. Some parents are cold stones who don't care at all about their childs.
His parents are not the priority but his own life... if he has a little bit of ambition, could continue with life and do other stuff.
