what are the penalties for being killed?

Please tell what bad happens to you if you die, also does it matter what level and how you die? Do you lose inventory items you are carrying?

You loose 2% exp (or somthing like that)
And theres a small chance that you will drop inventory items and the equipment your wearing (apart from the weapon equiped, shield isnt counted as a weapon)

~3% exp (depends on lvl) and random chance(minute) to drop ur items cept wep, this chance increases by a lot if u get murderer status or even purple

you also lose sp when u die in murder status.
