Pre-Paid credit cards?

Post by Rainigul »

I heard on another topic that walmart & walgreens or whatever stores sell prepaid credit cards.
Is this true? Or did he mean gift cards? Because if it's true, I'm gonna buy alot of silk for my lv 32, and change him to blade with gt/pt.
I'd like to play with silk FOR ONCE!

Thanks.

P.S. Prepaid credit cards work for buying silk, right? Assuming that they exist that is.

P.P.S. How would you use a prepaid credit card?
Thanks again.

I think I recall seeing them prepaid credit cards up near the register when I was in wal-mart.

[edit] They should work for silk, and you would use it the same way you would use a regular card.

Omg, yes, they work! :) I was in the exact same position as you, haha.

You can get these things called MasterCard, or Visa Pre-Paid Gift Cards from many stores - I get mine from Kroger. I buy MasterCard gift cards. They come in amounts of $25, $50, and $100. Just buy one, and go to the SRO Website, and it charges just like a normal credit card. The payment goes through PayPal... and it works great. That's how I get all my silk, since I'm not old enough to have a Credit Card yet.

Although I use MasterCard, Visa will work as well... along with the other cards that PayPal accepts, whatever those may be.

Just go to your neighborhood grocery store or something, and they should sell it. Good luck! :)

Haha, NP. :D

If they sell MasterCard Pre-Paid Gift Cards, get those, because I can guarantee you that those will work.
If they don't, I'm sure Visa will work as well. Those are the two major companies that make Pre-Paid Gift Cards, anyways. Don't sign up for a PayPal account, though. Those don't work with the Pre-Paid Gift Cards.
You don't need a PayPal account. Just go to the SRO site, and after you begin to charge it, it'll take you to the PayPal site, and you just pay using your card - not PayPal account, no hassle, no nothing.
If you have any questions, you can always PM me. I check SRO pretty often everyday, and I'd be glad to help. :)

Find a location near you that sells them with this:

I have used them myself through paypal and have never had a problem.

the visa prepays don't work.

billgate by silkroad requires that you need verified by visa, which isnt supported by the prepay cards so you cant use that method.

paypal recognizes the card, but does not lift your allowable sending limit over $0 usd which means you cant buy silk.

click and buy works, but usd is turned into euros and you lose money.

How would you lose money?
Unless they have no idea how to do conversions.

cuz the conversion makes it so its not divisible by 5 and you have like 3 bucks left over and lowest amount of money u can silk charge is $5

prepay cards are also not reloadable, and using click and buy 100 silk is like $11.50 usd i think (in euros)

I imagine you should be able to. Just search the site and make sure that it isnt a US only thing.

In portugal there's sometinhg better (I think In the rest of europe this system exists too): U can go to any ATM and put your ATM card and make a "virtual" CC with the plafond limit u want, then the machine prints a piece of paper with your 1 month valid credit card.

paypal is free to use

1. get a prepay card.
2. register it on the site printed on the back of the card.
3a. register for paypal (free)
3b. confirm your email to activate your paypal account
4. add "credit card" to paypal
4. go to sro official site.
5. silk charge will redirect u to your paypal, at this point you are asked to log in to your paypal
6. screen will refresh with xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-1234 depending on your card # and you will see how much you are being charged for silk.
7. click confirm or proceed with charge.
8. you have your silk and check in game by pressing f10.

:D

of course i can never get to #7 because paypal says i have a sending limit of $0 and i need to add a bank acount to proceed. :banghead:
