Wireless connection problem

Post by Blackchocob0 »

I'm able to connect to my wireless network, but I still can't connect to the internet. When I go to network connections, there's something called an internet gateway with an item called 'internet connection'.

It's at first disabled, and when I try to enable it, it just says connecting for ever. More than an hour....nothing happens.

Can somebody help me. :(
Peace.

are you able to reset the wireless router? and also, disable and re-enable your wireless card, see if that helps.

If you have access to the router configuration utility...
Start -> Run -> cmd -> ipconfig /all
Note the DNS server number(s).
Go into router configuration utility and see if the numbers match. On a linksys router it will be in the "Status" tab, I'm not sure about other types of router.
If they don't match, "ipconfig /renew" has a good chance of fixing the problem.
LOL

Lol after re-setting the router, I lost my ability to connect throughout the entire house, rather than only through my laptop.

Dunno my ISP, my dad pays for that shit and he's so completely retarded he tells me he doesn't know who it is.

So...no internet at home for me. Oh well I'm moving in like 2 weeks anyway.
Peace.

LoL sorry I'm not helpful, but my laptop does the same sometimes so I usually just restart it a few times, or disable/enable the internet connection .. :?

Good luck ^^

Peace.
