all brushed; nothing copied from other cars except for the rims.

Lol...At first I was trying to screw around making this car look crappy..

Instead I made It 1 step higher the crappy...(Like crappest)

I had fun with it, I'll never be as good as cin, but next time I'll make a good one..

i tried somethings abstract too some times. its hard.

i have some tips.

first of all, it would look better if it were cut out better. if you fail to cut the
car out in one time, take the eraser tool, put it on opacity 65 or so, and start
brushing over the part that is left. this normally works nicely to make it blend
in with the background properly, too.

Selection of the coloring seems a little sloppy

there is still grey parts i
can see.

The decal on the side looks okay. next time, just lower the opacity of the layer
a bit so the decal gets the shapes of the car.

rims: these are still the original rims. it would look better if you had put an
effect on those aswell

^all of the above is meant to be positive criticism

dont let this get you down,
work on it so it will be better at your next try ^^ as for an idea, when i read
flying car, the first thing i thought about was back to the future, so i would put
the wheels on horizontally xD

if you want, try the mustang. im also going to work on that today i think. the
lexus, i almost finished, but its on my laptop and im at work now

edit: i see you used the brush and smudge tool for the coloring.

easiest to color something with reflections:

1) select the piece you want to color. (take polygonal lasso. if you misclick,
click backspace key. select the whole car body. after that, deselect the windows,
air intakes and lights with alt+leftclick.)
2) press CTRL-Shift-U or go to image - adjustments - desaturate
3) now its in gray scale, go to image - adjustments - selective color
4) in selective color, select neutral. now start playing around with the CMYK
colors until you have the color you like
