For the first time ever, I didn't see flaming racist globals, I logged in on the first try, no one tried to scam me, I had a full grind session without ksing bots AND the people grinding around me were actually talking :shock:

. It was nice...

I say 3 more days and everything will be back to normal.

Just thought I'd change the mood of the usual GD topics. Hi to all the friendly people I met today

I got on first try on Xian too

Did the big banning happen? I couldn't find a thread on search :oops:

Only from Athens and Troy, not Xian or any other servers...

The big ban list on Xian has been already.It was the first server with Aege that had the list.

Yea guess there was a "slight" bot ban.
I tried to log in earlier today at my usual time, and guess what, it took me 10+ tries and when I went to grind, I saw the same old bots ksing me (HOLY_WAR GUILD. ALL MEMBERS I'VE SEEN WERE KSING BOTS.)

Guess things went back to normal quicker than I thought :roll:

Well Venice is still crowded according to my union mates. They said they

were trying to get in 2hrs ago and it was crowded. Im not all worked up

about it because i know that the banhammer is a coming

This is what keeps me playing too, besides the fact that we are getting updates

. But, I dunno, the almighty banhammer was struck down on the heads of troy and athens, and before that xian and aege. Even then, a few days after the bannings, the problem the problem comes back and still pisses people off and servers are just as crowded as usual, even though we have had about a week of stress free log ins

Just like everyone has been wanting, and what has been said a thousand times, the problem will never be solved unless there was a constantly updated automated system or if JM finally decides to provide the decent and proper GM and administrating services we deserve... But we all know this probably isn't going to happen anytime soon :roll:

What I do now (instead of mindlessly and constantly biitching) is to just play the game in moderation. I may be progressing slower than hardcore players, but I'm also relieving myself of the stress and frustration that the problems that SRO has and I'm am actually enjoying the game much more now

well took me long enough to finally understand that silkroad is just a simple game you should not take the game and the people behind it that serious
since they can and will ban for unneeded and often unanswered reasons made me realize this is not the game you want to pay for and expect any of service.

Silkroad is a moneymaker, Joymax is an owner of clientless bots who once in a while checks if his clients are connected and once in a couple weeks changes his grinding spots just because his mobs are not even dropping gold anymore, he does not care if they ks or get banned or even are humping walls for couple days the only thing he is worried about is getting as much gold before his bot time runs over.

Don`t expect any big changes, all changes are small and going slow with Joymax i looked forward to any weekly ban list till they had an excuse of technical or in game bugs (those are far more important i do agree with them to fix first)
I am glad i did buy silk and i am even more glad i sold my char and got some of my silk back but if you expect any services from the company you are paying, forget it.
look how far it has gone, people making topics on how glad they are on just connecting to the game :cry:

I think he's referring to the lists JM put out around the end of march or so. If you want to see them just go to the official forums>violators punishment forums thing and you'll see it. If you notice from looking at that forum, the last time a "massive" ban list was posted was 2 months prior to the one we got recently. Inferring from this, you can pretty much guess when we will see the next list :roll:

Firstly I play Tibet a lot and I rarely see any even slightly racist globals. Tibet actually has a fairly moderate community.

Secondly if a large bot ban is alleged to have happened then they've missed the Maong & Bunwang areas again

A Successful Bot ban where they didn't miss any and they stopped the Bots from coming back would be a great day for SRO

But lets face it - This is never going to happen

no no. People arnt gettin in easy because of bot bans......

Youll find that all boters are waiting for the new bot patch. untill then thy are not bothered to log in.. hence easy for us guys to log in.

Don't get me wrong, Tibet has lots of friendly people. It's just that I often see the usual "I hate turks, F turks" globals. And just the other day I saw a certain "someone" spamming globals of racist jokes (what do you do when you see your tv floating in the middle of the night? you say "drop it *****!" or "whats faster than a black man? his brother with your vcr...") These jokes are somewhat funny, but tasteless nonetheless. I don't know they just seem to bother me.

I've never said there was a bot ban... although I haven't seen some of the usual gold bots lately. Other botters are most likely hiding out though...
