Carpe Diem F2P Project

Post by LadyRhia »

Greetings all :)
I am here to tell you about the "Carpe Diem Chapter 0 Project." In January 07' the publishers of Carpe Diem ceased trading. Past players of this game have now come together to make a petition to revive Carpe Diem in a F2P state. Our progression has been overwhelming for such a small community being behind it. We are already a quarter way done with this project!

This petition is of great importance because Phil White might be revealing this documentation shortly to GNISoft (Game Developers).
All we need now is total support. Your signature is important now more than ever! The less time we take with reaching our goal, the more effective the final outcome will be. I will state that time is running short, and every signature counts now.

I will honestly say the graphics are outdated and the grinding can be a hassle at times. Beyond the games flaws, the storyline and design is very appealing and diverse, which is the basis of what kept players active and content. With this game not being as huge as World of Warcraft or LOTRO there I am sure that there are many smaller developing companies out there that would really consider this game.
If you have any questions about game play please don't hesitate I will do my best explaining to you :)

The location of the petition can be found here: http://z11.invisionfree.com/CarpeKin/in ... wtopic=345
You only have to sign your name no other information and that is it :) You are not obligated to anything else there after. Though if you wish your more than welcome to join our growing community and share some of your gaming knowledge with us, if you so do desire.

The overall support we have got from SRO has been astonishing and we cannot thank you enough!
We thank you for your time, and wish everyone the best of luck in the gaming world :) ~Rhiannon

Rhia, I was in Berith's 27th. To be quite honest I liked that it was P2P. Low cost every month vs item mall, kept out most of the rage kiddies that can only play F2P and then complain about it, and we had THE most active GMs ever. I don't think you could ever get GMs to be that active in the game EVERY day if it were F2P.

Without that GM events and the weekly tourneys I don't know if I would go back for F2P. As the game was the gameplay and graphics weren't that great compared to other F2P games out right now. The great awesomeness was all the things the GMs did on a daily basis to keep the game fast paced a different than anything else.

But, I did register for the site and will sign the petition soon.
Gave in to the force of rationallity. Uninstalled this bot infested game and never looked back.
Now I just play in the OTL and my old guild forum.

Hey :) Thanks for the support. I am sure with it being F2P there will be more players in-game. We are hoping that if the game does come back that some past GM's like Chica/Moogie (player/game master for those who don't know) from PW will get thier jobs back because they made the game that much more fufilling as you had said.
