Because now u can buy 40 goods in 1 stack. So if before 5* of stacks of 10 goods spawn 10 thieves, now they spawn (theorically) 40 thieves with a very fast rate

Higher level npc thieves with a better spawn makes things quite a bit more interesting. Thieving will be harder (they are red to lvl 80's if the star is enough), trading will be harder (will actually require hunters), now it wont only be the low levels getting blasted by the npc thieves, lvl 80's can get blasted too!

guild mate of mine had 42 thieves spawn on him a few minutes ago. needless to say, he died.
