Don't go hybrid, your character will go downhill.

Stay full str, you dominate in pvp.

Are you trying to get talked out of going hybrid. I doubt anyone here besides me would say go hybrid.

I know 2 hybrid bladders who are very good builds. They have between 10-20 points in int. One is lvl 74 fully farmed. I watched him tank, and killa lvl 76 glavier with a +5 glavie and 5 of her nuker mercs.

I don't know any hybrid glavies though.

If you go hybrid you will loose some HP, gain some overall damage, and maybe lower crits. However the extra damage from imbue+ lower crit might still = a pure strengths crit.

Just dont add to much int or you will weaken yourself. The glavie enhances strength characters, and a spear enhances intel char.
That is why if you add to many int points you will loose the benefit of using a str based weapon.

Go to bob the veg site and figure out how much HP you are willing to loose. Then you will know how many points you can put into int.

Maybe you should consider getting a better weapon if you feel like you don't do enough damage. The truth of the matter is a few int points shouldn't make any noticeble increase in damage, and like i said more than a few int points and you will be weakened.

Why were you thinking of going hybrid anyway??

go on prove everyone wrong
people are way too afraid to just experiment with their builds
the fact remains the same anyway
gear > build
good build, great player without the gear = losing anyway.

Go for the hybrid. Sometimes, especially if u cant find a 12 crit glaive, str needs the extra damage.

I think Its a good idea, you'll hit more harder them a Full str and still be able to tank,i think a good way could be 1:1 all the way to 80(being a lvl52 full str),whit a perfect gear you'll be able to reach 100% phy balance,so you not gonna be too weak compare to a full str and still be able to deal more dmg, just your criticals will be a little weak, but i think its worth lose some dmg on cri.

And dont listen to others,if you think it will work,go for it,and prove everyone is wrong about str hybrid.the secrect is just find the right balance.

Str hybrid doesn't work well so: don't add any int points. Continue being full str.

Why would he go 1 to 1 from now on. Wouldnt it be better to put all int into the build until he reached the desired balance?

I agree the right balance is key, who here knows the right balance?
Another other option would be to say well I have 1000 more hp then all the others so I will just add that into int points.

It's not about who knows the right balance... its about who is willing to share it

Think about it, if u had the perfect balance for a STR hybrid glavie, and no one else knew it , would u tell anyone?? Well i know i would because i would LOVE to pvp someone with the same balance as me, and also because im a nice guy like that. But MOST people wouldn't tell anyone. GL trying to find the balance.

An old guild mate of mine, he was 6x with a 83% phy hybrid glavie * naked btw. Dont ask what the intl balance was i dont remember* ... i dont have any vids of him pvp'ing, or even any tales of him pwning up. But i do remember him boasting about how powerful his build was... so thats something to think about.

not encouraging str hybrid here but for me,ill think str hybrid will work...try target mag balance naked around 50% and make sure ur phys balance reach 90% with blue..and with that kind of mage balance u should change to mage weapon,spear/sword

i really want to try it myself :D

I was thinking maybe 40% naked Magic Balance. Thanks so much for the comments so far, what does everyone think of 40% mag balance?

I'm STR hybrid (kinda) and I hit pretty hard with people my level with 9 lvl gaps and I can take alot of damage with no blued or +'d jewelries.
Don't be like everyone else, that's boring. Make a build so people wanna be like you.

thats why people like to stay pure, coz they dont want to sacrifice any advantages of their build...

but while hybridizing(this word exist :? ) u will have to sacrifice something...and ull suck blue.. :D

other build get blue for bonuses, hybrid get blue coz it is a must..maybe

lol read my old post, im lvl 75 full farm now (still have 30k sp left) and going 100%phy:60% mag balance..well up to u to choose, an advise of a player like me that will reach the cap in a month maybe, or a low lvl players that does nt know whether theyll finish the game or not.

if u get my balance with blue, ur hp will differ from the pure str is only 2k, and u can cover that 2k hp with pots isn't?

the reason why i go str hybrid? cuz higher overal dmg then pure...thats all. the crit?..nah, ive a glaive with 70% crit, but it doesnt crit all the time and if it does, the dmg difference is between 500-1500k only..

well many lvl70 pure str now puting int to reach lvl80 cap, doesnt it means that hybrid is the way to go?...good luck reaching 80 cap..

This is surprising.
I leave the forum for only a month and all of a sudden people are pro str hybrid.

I am not for or against it personally, they both have there pros and cons.

but not long ago everyone was so emotional about how much they suked.

Let's think about it this way:
You fight a pure STR glaive. you crit your mars for 6-7k. He crits his mars for 9k.

If you fight, can he tank your low crits and higher base attacks? I'm pretty much sure he can.
Can you tank his lower base attacks and his deadly crits? I'm pretty much sure you can't.

There, you see the difference.

I dont really know, but a 2-3k difference in crit damage doesn't sound realistic, even for int hybrid vs pure str.

What you lose on phy damage you gain in mag dmg, once XXX int inflicts more damage then XXX str depending on the skill & gear you may hit harder.

lol, who says the difference is 2-3k?..lol its 500-1.5k man..haaha well up to u guys..9k, yes i can tank that, and also the crit doesnt go to often though..lol, finish the game first, like id said before, ur hp will lose only 2k from pure man..that can be covered by pots...

1+1+1+4(crit) =5 total dmg for pure str
2+2+2+3(crit) =9 total dmg for hybrid str 100%:60%

this is simple mathematic to u all out there (not the exact calculations, but its a prove that overal dmg will be high cuz of imbue dmg) , im a pure str from lvl1-60+ man, then i experience the sro world, then this is why i changed to str heavy hybrid.

actually the problem hybrid cant perform well is bcuz of their hp, their dmg is highest if he is a str hybrid char (not int.), but their hp so so low. so a good balance is needed to build a str hybrid.

well if u were pure, i think ull have about 108%:38-42%. so ive decided to deduct the 8% from phy bal. and make 100%:60% where i can get enough hp and much more dmg. a hybrid with 100%:50% also a good balance, but im a so crazy about dmg.lastly alchemy is an assence here. u have good alchemy, ull be good..

normally there is comparison between int spear hybrid vs pure str glaive, and i found that normally people will say they can beat pure str glaive..

but if crit is the matter, str hybrid suppose can take more than int hybrid and with alchemy there is critical parry stat.

i really think str hybrid will work, more HP than int hybrid and better magic defense than pure str

Its awesome at pvp, i could tank 2 nukes (Light/Fire) from a +3 52 SOM Spear 52 Lvl(Full Int char 52) @ 52 Lvl with Shield and +3 Garments(Str Hybrid)...

Time enough to chain the enemy down.
