Once you get the IMAGE test window and you put the right code, and then it fails in connecting you get the fatal-disconnected-from-fuc**ng-server-CONFIRM-window-of-death....

Then you must exit, wait, wait, and wait a bit more for then wait for it again...

You should be able to keep on trying without CODE verification again since youve already proven youre a human arse...

And at times like that you really gotta start asking yourself who is getting the most fun out of it?

Certainly not the players...

Sometimes when its really crowded and super hard to get in I like to imagine the JM staff piss-drunk and laughing their asses off at how many time a person will keep restarting the client just to get in to play, I think they keep a scoreboard and make bets on it...

But thats just me...

ODIN BOT UNIONS Image*More will be added as they appear or change*

Suggestions to fix iSRO:
-Gold wipe
-Daily Bot bans
-Make SoX items acquirable only with Honor Points

Softmod does not remove/bypass verification. its funny being on ts with HubblyBubbly when he tries to log onto Persia he goes nuts :D

To verify: The 0x33 SRO softmod has its own client, which replaces the original client.

that's why they dont have time anymore to deal with big updates.. makin more of these images :D

They are generated by an automated process - it's just a simple few lines of code. PS: I have designed my own CAPTCHA! systems, so I'm not talking out of my a**e...

Unless you're using the dated public version, yes, it does.

I'm not saying this is definitely how Joymax does it but if they don't, THEY SHOULD because everyone else does it this way. The server generates a "random" 6 character code for you. Then it uses a special program to render it into an image file. The server then sends the image file to your computer. There's absolutely no reason to send your computer the correct code, encrypted or not, because you could rig the client to say "yup, he solved it correctly" if the test to see if you typed it right happens inside the client on your end. So then what happens is whatever you typed is sent to the server and it compares it to code it generated that it still has in memory and if it's correct, it attempts to log you in (and usually fails lol) So yeah, there's no way to automate logging in, a human has to do it. You could train a program to recognize letters from images, which people have done with those programs that come with some scanners which is why they add a shimmer, blur, spekcle, and skew filter to the image differently every time to make it just about impossible for a computer to read it.

The problem with that is that depending on your internet connection, you're doomed to be timed-out and lose your place in the queue by a substantially higher amount than if it's all client-side.

exactly *looks at his road runner modem and smiles* though it's only like 300x100 pixels and probably a gif so it's like 10-20kb. Dialup could do that in 3-6 seconds or so so they're doomed but they shouldn't be playing anyway. If your DSL or better connection can't handle 20kb in under a second, switch ISPs lol
