a poem thread, yay for fun

Darkness lay down the path that we cannot see;
Wonder and amazement abound to be.
For this darkness holds new beings and things;
Terrible, insipiring, miraculous and evil.
Demons and creatures and spirits roaming free;
To tell me, what do they see in me?
Ragged, barren, unrestrained madness and insanity;
In every consciousness rests entirety...
The whole of the universe and its incomprehensible nature.
They whisper to me without words and I see,
The unfathomable and more still unbearable mind inside of me.

...And down I sink into monstrous lunacy
Never to return as me.
For now that I know and see...
The devil is inside of me.

Lol I havn't written much these past couple years, but I used to write alot. I'm out of practice...and no poetry does not have to fucken rhyme bastards.

Well I didnt want to quote the entire poem, it looks too cluttered and I hate that but really I thought the entire poem was quite nice... not funny... :wink:

Oh and also let's see you write something better.

Oh and if you put so much stock into rhymes, you have a shallow outlook on the meaning and purpose of poetry. But hey you're only 15 or whatever, you'll find out.

It's just that when I 1st read what she posted I found it funny.

I know it would. But keeping the meaning and theme I had in mind in play while also making everything rhyme would have turned a 30 min project into at least a few hours.

My Girlfriend

My girlfriend is nice.
My girlfriend is sweet.
My girlfriend wouldn't cheat on me, if I'd just let her be.
My girlfriend is the greatest person, I've ever got a chance to meet.
But sometimes I have insecurities.
When I see another guy, hugging my sweet pea.
What I feel is anger, and sometimes jealousy.
Should I confront her? Or just let her be?
Forget it, in the end, I know she wants to be with me.
If she cheats, then it wasn't meant to be. And if she's loyal, then I would have to agree.
That my girlfriend is the greatest person, I've ever got a chance to meet.
