SRO Freeze up

My whole screen of SRO just freezes up. It looks like a freaken screenshot. I have to forcefully shut it down, this happens randomnly.

Have the latest directx, latest graphic drivers, sound drivers and chipset.

WTF is going on? Have nvidia 7700 512.

Xiao_xin, when you say that you have to "forcefully shut it down", do you mean that you have to end task on sro_client.exe, or does it mean that you have to actually turn your computer off?

If you have to completely turn your computer off the problem may be related to bad RAM. There are a couple of utilities to check your memory that may help:

Memtest86:
http://www.memtest86.com/download.html

Microsoft Windows Memory Diagnostic:
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/mtinst.exe

Make a CD from both of these tools and boot from them and let them run for a few passes. I've used Memtest86 for a long time, but I recent came across the Microsoft Diagnostic and it helped resolve a problem on a machine that Memtest didn't see.

Also, if you are overclocking your processor, RAM, or video card you may need to modify your settings.

Yeah I've read about the bad ram idea.

Have tested it. Its all good, the laptop is new and its a custom build, so as you can guess, the company also did extensive testing on it before it was delivered.

Forecefully meaning I have to go to task master and end task, since SRO just craps out. And it happens randomnly, not like during a job war only or something. Sometimes just walking around hotan and then freeze.

No other game does this to me, fps, rts or mmo, only SRO craps out like this...

end task is for slowpokes, end processes is the way to go

i have this problem too, i did everything, formated disk C instaled new windows updated them after that instaled all drivers and atlest SRO unfortunately... it was the same shit... o a testet my computer with PcMark and 3dmark it was everythibng perfect, dman what i can do whithout buying new pc, moreover i tried to change my video card, but it was same shit.

lol dude, task master is the only way to shut it down. I can't get out of sro by alt tab when it freezes up.

I have the latest drivers, latest install of directx, latest chipset, sound and video.

I tested my ram, its 100% good. I play other games, SRO is the only that gives me any problems...

Well.... i have the same problem as you faced...
and i have been wondering wat's going on with my PC... this is one of the reason i stop playing sro
