spear +5 or sword+5 for sp farming at peon

I'm planning to sp farm at penon once i'll be 52 with a 9 fap and I was wondering wich weap I should get, sword or spear? I can't affrod sos :s but I can afford +5, so w/o a sos can I still one shot a penon wiht a spear? if no I should get a sword right so I can nuke+lion or nuke+skill on them?

and if I can't one shot penon, what is needed to do it?

Mo, u won't be able to. Fire nuke + shout + shout = 1 kill w/ sos+ 7 for int hybrid 90%.

+5.....no....2 nukes for you. :-)

you could gain a few lvls and then delvl and use either, but delvling takes sooo long.

hum i've been checking aournd for price and stat...I have aorund 25k right now can reach 40-50 if I sell all my useless stuff...

spear 52+5 is around 800mag dmg and sell for 18-20kk
spear sos 52+5 is around 900 mag dmg and sell for 70-80kk

sword 52+5 is aorund 700 mag dmg and sell for 10-14kk
sword sos 52+5 is around 820 dmg and sell for 60-75kk

shield 52+5 sell for aorund 10-12kk
shield sos 52+5 sell for around 50-60kk

so a sos+5 sword do aorund the same damage as a spear+5... what i'm planning to do is once I reach lvl 52 i'll try my plain 52 spear on penon it have 666 mag dmg if I'm close to the one shot i'll buy a +5 and might get one shot, if not i,ll go for s/s so I can 2 shot and have decent defense and have fun in pvp too ^^

I can confirm that you can't one shot a penon at 52 with lvl 43 masteries.

With only I think 10 str points and the rest int at 52 with a 9 gap, and 53 with a 9 gap, with an sos+7 (meaning....+12 spear), I can't one shot a penon, by far. If I can't you can't with a +5. The best you can hope for is the second fire nuke + shout to one penon, and the next one attack with regular fire nuke + soul spear. That'll kill 2 in 7 seconds. Being sword isn't worth it for PVE. pure int spear is the fastest grinder. You could alternatively just go straight to 72 without farming 0-gapping and farm on nachals in garms (meaning little damage to a pure int). Penons are infested with grinders (whether botters or legit), nachals though isn't a good place to bot...so there's usually like....3-8 people there at any time with super high spawn rates.

hum... I think i'll go s/s and nuke+lion // nuke+kd/stab or chain on second

cause i've been grinding with spear since lvl1 and I hav to say I hate it cause everytime I pvp I ge tone shot my people of the same lvl of me lol

and I can't grind to 72 wiht 0 gap cause I wont have enough sp to get decent skill I've been grinding to 44 with 0-2 gap lol so I nee dto max my stuff now before going back to grinding ^^

this is my nice som+5 sword along w/ very nicely pimp set of sox garm gear, & i still do 1nuke+shout to kill 1 penon (nice 250 sxexp or so ^^)...

do arnd 4.5~4.8k w/ 1st book fire/light nuke, do arnd 5.3~5.5k 2nd book fire...so it's better to just use 1st fire/light then use 1 of the 2 shouts to kill a penon fighter, & just occassionally spam 2nd book fire for giant

so i doubt u can 1 shot even w/ ur sos+5 spear, lmfao to whoever thinks they can 1 shot lvl 54 w/ sos+5, maybe u can 1-shot w/ som+5 or so spear, but not likely a sword & as u can see 110% is very high mag.%, not highest but higher than what most ppl can spend

& i doubt u can survive giants w/o a shield at lvl 52, unless u have on godly sox armor

normal+5 will most likely be 2 nukes & a shout or something like that :shock:

, but i do have a Spear LVL 52+3 wit lots of INT and STR and nice CRIT and Block on it..... im plannin on farming at 52....

One question though -
How much SP do we get at 9 lvl gap at 52 with a GT & a 4 member XP Distri party ??

And may b XP too ...

at lvl 52 w/ 9 gap & full party u get 255sexp, but it depends on rate u kill...52+3 spear, u'll be killing pretty slow

it's 1nuke+1shout, & get 1/2 sp, so that's pretty fast for me, better than stronghold

I'm level 52, 9 gap, farming at peons ... It's freaken awesome and I'm farming faster then my friend at bandit archers (level 16 SoM+5 bow)...

I'm using an SoS spear +5. I can't always one shot peon fighters and it usually takes a nuke and a lion shout to do it. In your case I’d go with a +5 spear. I’ve seen “Sword nukers” taking 3 nukes to kill these things.

Use armor (duh) and put as much +Hp and possible. I have +500 Health and when I’m getting mobbed by 3 peons and a giant its lights out. Careful with the Peon giants… they’ve crit me over 2K…. and with all my gear I have 3003 health… And that’s quiet a bit for a level 52 pure int.

Hope you’re an “offensive nuker” with FiRe imbue (the best imbue in the game hands down).

I'm only 47 Int and penons don't 1 crit me, and i have regular gear with a couple pieces +2 with stuff like int3 and str2 but nothing to great.

I'm lvl 52 pure int spear and farming at penon's. I use a non-sos +5 spear (ruined my mag attack and still trying to fix it) but nuke and ghost spear or shout makes a fast kill. I wear garms ( cus I just hate everything else, but will be going pro soon ) and even with my crappy spear and vulnerable garms I'm not wasting too many pots. I'm usually getting hit for 600-700 hp crits are about 1500 or less.

i dont know how your doing that low of damage with a som +5. I have a sos +5 spear and i do the same damage and sometimes more. And the magic attack on that sword is about 100 or more higher magical damage then my spear. And also my magic balance is only at 97% and urs is at 110% :shock:

For pure int nukers, one possibility is to level up to around 55 and grind at sonars because:

- passive magic mobs deal low damage to int garments characters, and no dangerous giants to worry about!

- cold spectre stones give 4 x wind2 elements each!

- they drop 7D tier 2 items, which are worth more than the tier 1 drops from penons

- less bots to ks you

Well this is what I did. I stayed with hashades till 55 and moved to sonars directly. Skip penons completely. The sonar spawn rate is probably a bit lower than penons, but still very good so you'll never run out of things to kill.

LOL, i was thinking something was wrong...my pure INT L44 has 110% mag and 3005 hp. HP on gear and str points (think I may have str 22-25 on gear & +450HP) are a must have for spear int. And Bah, who needs armor? Live dangerously and go garm out there

ok can't fix myslef lol... i've found a sos shield 52+2 with bad white br 14(0%) for 20 million

and a spear +5 fully pimped 13mill and another +4 pimped for 9mill (the +4 have higher mag atatck than the +5)

I was wondering for wich one should I go, if i'm lucky I could pimp the shield and sell it for lot of money :S

and should I buy the 52+4 and try for +5? sinc the base is nice

I have aorund 20-30 weapon elixir and maybe 10-15 shield elixir, but I can buy some and work on stone too

any advice?
