pride and arrogance are hard to mix...
it depends on what we're talking about
I find it impossible to be racially "arrogant"
lol it even sounds weird
Although, on my part, i am "ultra-nationalistic" which is a used term
Im from Korea, if you haven't noticed by my name

Ok, don't get why you wouldn't be here though..
And arrogance and pride actually are really close to each other, the border between them is vague at times.. (Now i'm really of to bed will reply tommorow..)

and personally
I encourage showing the world (even the virtual one) where you are from
although i might be a little hypocritical because I have a name without a racial identification, I figured I wouldnt need one. Hell, why would a native Korean play iSRO when theres a much improved, better kSRO?
and, no offense but, I feel way more comfortable with Asian ppl
Im sure that most of us here do feel more comfortable with ppl of our origin
thats natural, and I would fully understand that
just dont confuse " the uneasiness" and racism

you may have missed a long-ago previous post, but I chose to play iSRO because of;
1. HUGE lag on the kSRO (interestingly enough, I live in America, so the connection is s l o w
2. download time was huge too-it was pretty uninviting, but I did it anyway
3. sounds wierd, but I personally thought kSRO would be too addicting-there is wayyyy too much to do. And of course, I have a real life to worry about

Turks, Germans, Brazilians, they all put their country in their name to help them find others that they can communicate with.
If it had to do with pride, then yeah, I wouldn't put USA in my name, because I happen to think the country has gone in a shithole.

See what i mean...Turks in my mind are th biggest nubs
ive met some pretty nice turks too... its just the general trend among one ethnic group: they just like to bot alot. im sure the general community will find them alot easier to interact with if they overcame the huge language barrier.
and my point is proven by: http://www.google.com/trends?q=silkroad+bot

i have one character with a _BG (now deleted though) in it and that's all. the only reason i did that was because annoying turks kept asking me if i was a turk. i used to get a message like that pretty much everyday.
I mean how the f*ck does Jasen sound turkish.

It wasn't until recently that I learned that the abbreviations were even codes for different countries. Could I have some help in sorting them out?
So far I have ...
TR=Turkey
BR=England
PL=Poland
GR=Germany
VN=Vietnam
NL=the Netherlands
NZ=New Zealand
CN=Canada?
BG=?
Are there others?

BG = Bulgaria
GR is Greece, not GERmany.
And how is BR England? BR is Brazil.
Some people use their Internet .xx for expressing their country, some use the uhm ... "car tag"? like DE for Germany, or GER.
I am not a friend of this, because too many racist ..... message you when wearing a specific tag. Who wants to know where I am from can ask or cut it.
For those who are interested, here's a list of the INTERNET abbreviations (2 characters) ... those can differ though from the "car tags" / international abbreviations which have 3 (three) characters.
http://www.crayne.com/country.html
Thus some countries have a code for their country in their own language ... for example Estonia (EEsti) or Germany (DEutschland).
