Bow nuker

Would this build work: 2:1 int to str, fire nuking with lightning for grasswalk and maybe lions shout, and the rest of the arrow buffs? I would consider it a minimal farming char since its really only 2.5 mastery trees that I'm only going for.

No it wont work PERIOD

Here is why:

A bow build is based on criticals and str based attacks. you already have a range why get nukes?

Another reason is that you wont have a sheild for the block ratio OR the heuksal passive HP boost. This will be the weakest build ever. Many peopel have tried it and have been very unsuccessful.

As i have stated in my other post, no build is a bad build its just that they have pros and cons. It is really what you like. This build is very weak both in pvp and and pve i would not reccomend making an int heavy bow build.

If you like bow go with pure str (I have heard some about 1:1 hybrid bow builds being very good but i dont know much about them)

In theory, a hybrid bow can be VERY good*. However, you need pimped eq, an in-depth knowledge of skills, damage calculation, str vs weaknesses of your char, etc, etc. If you have to ask questions about it, you'll probably end up gimped at around lvl 60.

*Max fire, lightning, bow, and high enough sword or spear to get KD or stun. Basically, PVP would come down to antidevil, pull out shield to block counterattack, switch to spear/sword to KD/stun, tele away, and repeat with antidevil or strong if you're daring. If you crit you can try to kill with an arrow combo. However, if you don't pull out your shield in time or dont have good gear, chances are that a good glaiver or nuker or even pure bower will be able to one hit/combo you.

If you want a minimal farming char, pure int light nuker would be your best bet. You'd probably drop like a rock when you get hit, and you'd be weak vs giants till your second nuke, but under 100k SP till 80 would mean you'd level up about as fast as you could quest.

Ok so if I went 2:1 then should I go sword or spear? Without using a bow...

The 1str:2int is really close to the 70:70 build that was large discussed, but with some more int points. But if that you want is nuke isnt the best way because a bow has not the magical attack nor reinforce of the spear to compensate the fact that you are putting lots of str points for a nuker. You will be hitting with your nukes near to a 1:2 sword but without the extra protection of shield nor kd skill.
