Not really, David spent one level on mujigis (white) and got very few drops. 52-53 He spent on penons, and has around 15 different eq drops. They're orange for him.

Got an SOS bow from a Chakji Worker that I think was white at the time. Might have been green. I think it's just luck though and you could get one from any mob any time. But drops tend to match the level of the mob, so if you got a drop from a blue it's probably too low to be worth using, and if you get one from an orange or red it's probably too high, though you could save it for later. For one that's useful right away prob stick to white mobs, or maybe green. But the odds are so slim that picking mobs in hopes of getting a good SOX doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Grind on whatever you normally grind on and hope for the best. If you get something you can't use, sell it and buy something you can.
i believe you get the most items if you kill monsters 1 level higher than you since fro instance when i was at the yeowa's (1 level higher bavk then) i got 1 item every 5 minutes for around an hour long
allthough it's probably just luck

Well I have read a topic in official forum where MD said its the green mobs that have a higher rate of droping, and I believe that.
I also believe that every mob, every place have different drop rate. Hell, every single day it seems I have different drop rate in same place. A restart or d/c seems to change drop rate ..lol. I dont know. But my experience is that grren mobs drop more, not because you can kill faster (that too) but just in general they just do. I got all my sox (no sun yet) from orange / white / green even blue (while jobing) mob
You could get it from any mob at any time, It's all luck.
Jeeze here we go again. I love having to educate people on how SRO does drops. So here goes again -.-: Sro uses a function similar to Rand() which generates a pseudo-random number if the monster kill generates a number within said pseudo-random range that corrisponds to a certain item number then you will get a drop, otherwise you will not. Gold amounts, Alchemy materials, quest item drops, Sos, Som, Sosun, + items, blue items, arrows, ALL ARE RANDOMLY DROPPED BASED UPON A RANDOM NUMBER GENERATION FUNCTION. THERE IS NO LUCK INVOLVED FFS. This isnt mapel story where when you make a character it rolls a dice and gives your char a luck value. It is pure random number generation. Ok, hope this clears things up. lol Mods really need to sticky this so people will stop asking about it -.-
i got my first sos lvl. 20 protector from a bandit (was lvl.25 at the time) while waiting for tiger girl and got the STOLEN SWORD with out even trying as well.
