Dual Weapon Build

Have you guys tried it? Do you need macro in PvP? My guild member tried it and it requires a lot of sp. Tell us your experiences if you've tried it.

Dual weap requires more than 325 k SP at the cap. I play duals in PvP without macros, but it's very hard. If it's laggy you have no chance without macros. My dual weap is lv 45 heavy Int hybrid using S&S, Spear, Fire and Light. What is most unusual is my light imbue, but I like it. Damage is good, and I do well in PvP. I do like this: nuke with spear, than switch to sword, Kd+ double Stab, Kd+ double stab then switch back to spear and nuke, and if it's needed use ghost spear. Performance in PvP is good. Sometimes I beat glavies, but if they crit on me, I die in a few seconds after. Dunno If i will level my char any further because it takes a LOT of skill points.

You can do it without macros, but its a little harder, but it can be done. Its pretty fun and if you can't do with it a normal keyboard, you can buy a G15 keyboard. In the popular jsro pvp video, that guy uses a G15 keyboard, and its very effective in pvp and wars.

how does that macro's work on the G15 keyboard?? can you like program a series of key strokes under one key or something??

I have never used one myself, but do know you can program or assign certain buttons to do what you want them to do. I don't what other features it has since I have never used. You'll have to ask someone who uses one.

you dont need macros for 2 weapon builds :roll:

those Ksro videos only use chains to drain the other persons pots, so they use as many hit skills as possible

well sure makes it a whole lot easier, cause with dual weapon you need to switch between quickpick bars (or whatever they are called) too.

i found a program named "Quick Macro" which let's you use macro's without having the G15 keyboard. It rulez...it means switching weapons and launching a nuke salvo with the touch of just one button.

I don't use dual weapon (yet) but when i'm thiefing with my 3rd degree weapons, to fool those stupid low lvl hunters then it's real handy to be able to switch to my real weapons fast when a higher lvl comes along.

Hey i am playing with dual weapon for many weeks, i think its more powerfull then fighting with one weapon, but of course its more difficult.

I bought the G11 its the smaller exemplar of G15, but got the macro-function, too. There is a problem while using macros, when you bind too many keys on one press, you get a disconnect, because of network insecurity, i think the ksro version dont use this kind of flood block. So when you bind your macros just use about 2 keys.

For these ones who dont want to buy a new keyword:
Yes it is possible to fight without macros, but you'll need a good binding and fast fingers

. When its lagging you should stand on one weapon, because there is a big delay between switching and first attack (when using bindings,too).

About me and my dual weapon experiences:
I'm a lvl 68 Hybrid Int, and using Sword,Shield + Spear. I'm wearing garment and skilled: Bicheon, Heuksal, Fire, Light. For these ones who are surprised why i use garment: I'm about 2:1 Int and have a really nice garment. My Heuksal is not farmed so i would make a better damage if i could use soul spear soul and ghost spear mars, but of course at this time i do enought damage. My normal combo is Kd, Stab, Stab, (switch) Soul Spear, Ghost spear (switch) and a new time. I normaly can kill str glavie ( but no sos ) ... i think when my heuksal is farmed i do much more damage.

My recommendation for a dual weapon build:
As an Inter you should decide if its more helpfull if you skill ice, because the better physical defense, and effects. ( As seen on the video of La-va ) I saw a movie where a guy used blade and glavie i think this good be a good build, too.

SP?? Yes the biggest disadvantage at this kind of character build. You'll need much more SP.

i haven't got ice.. imo it ain't worth the sp... and you need fire+light.. and bicheon+heuksal for your weapon so really there is no room for another tree. I would get it if it was possible but it just really ain't.

my combo is a lil' diffrent it's: KD, stab, stab, phantom away, firenuke, ghostspear, light nuke, soulspear. Most ppl are dead before i even get to finish it. But then again.. most bladerrs have already kd me before i get to finish it. And when i get stun on him I just start from the firenuke again.. untill i get kd against me.. then i switch back to s/s. And start from the top.

And i wear garment too.. i always get it pimped with +str and +hp...and it works great for me.

and i haven't got a g11/g15 or any other macro keyboard. I just use quickmacro got 2 buttons set up T and R
T=f4, 1, f1...=> wich switches to spear and brings me to my quickslotbar with spear skills

R=f4, 5, 4, f2..=> wich switches to s/s and brings me to my quickslotbar with s/s skills.

And it makes a diffrence.. when i fight somebody who's a challenge i always use macro's and it saves you time. And faster attacking means less dmg on you. And you need all the less dmg on you ... as a pure int.

btw could you post the vid of La-Va plz...prob already know it but still.

ow and one last thing.. i fought a heuksal/blade build.. and it's nice.. he was 2 lvl's below me (i'm 55 8gap he's 53 3gap) but still one of the nices fights..nah **** it.. THE nicest fights i ever had....we are fighting still regular... i can't wait for us both to be fully farmed and same lvl.. to see who comes out on top.. Only thing is.. this fight takes so much potz... 400 hp potz and 150 pills in like 10min ain't really strange for us..and the fight takes forever.. cause i rarely get to finish my combo on him(but when i do he's usually dead ^^). And he only got 2 kd now.. wait till he get's his 3rd

Really if you got the sp get this build it's nice... certainly for a blader as cause you can grind with your glavie and lvl much faster and still have your tanking ability.

ow yeah this one.. nice vid...but with this vid i always wonder how he devides his masteries cause he has 5 heuksal, bicheon, fire, light and ICE. And that at the lvl 80 cap...how?? i don't get it... i've tried to find a nice devide.. by taking minimum on all materies but that only leaves like 30 for ice.

You don't need macro, get one hand on the F1-F4 buttons, and other one on the numbers. I suggest use one bar for weapons, one for bicheon, one for heuskal, and one for buffs/other skills.

I'm dual weapon to, but I am pure int.. (currently level 67) I'm planning on going hybrid, but is it worth it? or do pure int dual weap rule to?, I pretty much own bladers and othernukers with my kd stab stab soul spear soul, but dont i do more damage when im hybrid? (i barely use nukes in pvp)

brAmme, hybrids will only do more damage when they crit... Int's imbue does more dmg than a Phy attack... Stick with Pure (if slight hyb same thing almost) Int Dual...

As for macros... You really don't need it. Just set up your weapons in a comfortable manner... I get alot of complements on my weapon switching... I tried a macro... It gets confusing and the stupid program keeps asking to "Buy this now!" so I uninstalled it... I can switch as fast as a macro program.
I'll post a video of my skill bars and my switching... soon

yeah do that.. i really want to see.. can't imagine you are faster...my macro's work great...it takes the minimum time.. especially for switching to s/s the timing has to be perfect to lose the minimum amount of time. Spear switch is easier.

hey guys, so about hybrid and pure .... i'm hybrid and proud of it ^^, i think if you're 3:1 it's more powerful as an pure int, because of hp advantage. I always win against pure Int, because i can wear garment and on Int vs Int fights the ones who uses garment wins

Against pure STR Glavie i'm a little bit carefully with switching on Spear because of defense decrease, but it still works.

For fighting against blade I mostly use the spear and nuke on them, for a
lvl 66 blader i needed about 2 nukes and ghostspear so if didnt kd me, he has got no chance.

Now about the la-va build. He has got 4 masteries: Bicheon, Heuksal, cold, Lightning. He use the lightning imbue and because of the cold series he can easily wear garment. The fight againsts mu-a is more a show like doing a real pvp, i think he just wont to show the nice transition between sword and spear.

Now the following video is against oyaku a glavie there i think its really intresseting how easily the glavie falls xD. La-va mostly try to stun or freeze his enemie but what i dont understand why he use the spear combo?

in the guild war movie you see that when there is a ice blade he need a long time to kill him, but he can do it... i think fire is a important tree, because of immunity and damage increase but maybee the physical defense increase is more usefull for a inter. I think its a personal opinion which tree you want to skill. This is build is more defense skilled if you would skill fire you are more for damage, because of the powerfull imbue.

yes because of low quality you cant see everything but thats how it goes on youtube

. so a different question, what are youre opinions about the 69 spear combo and how it works in pvp? i think the combos aren't nice for pvp but lava still uses them while fighting .... so what do you think? i still need to farm for them -.-

well i don't got the lvl 69 one.. but only the 5combo.. but i find it very usefull against nukers.. cause some just die before i'm even done with it. And others need just another ghost spear with it.

hm yesterday i discused this topic with a friend and we both got the same opinion it's just usefull as a hybrid with a good critical spear, to set a combo of crits onto the enemy.
I think i'll skill it just because of the show effect
