Back in the days of the lv 60 cap, all the best players were ice bladers.

A good idea is to add up to 40 int points and be ice blade, then you have high damage and won't die, as well as being annoying

Fire is alittle better though because it requires less farming.

I had 2 friends who played the beta skills in ksro, and they used this chance to mess with their builds, they said that a str hybrid works REALLY well with ice and blade.
If you didn't know, int adds damage retard. Ice freezes people, with no ice immunity (as it will be in the future) this helps a shit load. Nuke can only kill a full str char if it's noob glaive, blade never dies.
You're just pissed 'cause you have no idea how the game works, probably just botted your way up (Notice the "probably", so no REAL false claims).

I have ksro kid, the new skills just came out, and blade now does HUGE damage (Although to note, bow is REALLY gonna kick ass, more on that on the bottom of my post). The new skills help ALOT.

More about bow:
Now has 5 books of first skills (As all other trees only have 4). 4th book adds 35 crit, and 5th adds 40 crit, as well as HUUUUGGGEEE damage. Imaging hitting someone with your 12+40 crit bow, add your weapon damage, str & reinforcement +crit... Like 18k damage :S, and if they don't die then, you use your +35 crit attack and destroy them.
Arrow combo's last book has knockback, though all other books don't. Knockback probability is 80% for each arrow though
New strong arrow has the ability to stun.

Bow is gonna be better than glaive, but blade will always be the best.

I just got a lvl 54 blade/glavie dude... i won 5-2 although it takes a while and he was the best d.amn fight i ever had... I still got him in the end. And i'm not immune to his ice.. and he uses both his kd, his 2 stabs and his stun ofcourse. He still couldn't beat me more then i got him

I one hit nukers my level with my sword & no gear on. I'm an int hybrid.

Int's are extraordinarily easy to kill unless they wear garments or have super duper badass gear.

The way it works is: More str = Better in pvp
More int = Better in pve
Quicker grinder = Worse in pvp
Slower grinder = Better in pvp

That's the way it works, it's been found out by the ancients

The first I'll admit is good, because that guy is dual wep, runs & stuff... That's not me saying he's bad, he's one of my idols actually (along With Embodiment and Pooky).

lol like i don't know that.. i got garment all +2 or better all +str and +hp who needs more dmg as a nuker.. you need more def and health.. without becomming some weak hybrid.

And i know the first kicks ass... although he switching to spear and doing soul spear don't work for me.. but he's good.. he fights like i use to.. now i usually can just stay and fight.. no need to phantom away.. only against a higher lvl glaivie.

Strength of a blader is their ability to tank.
Weakness of a blader is definitely their lack of damage.

By saying fire, you have contradicted your statement. You are saying that bladers need to make up for the damage they lack.
Ice, on the other hand, given that the opponent not immune, makes the blader receive less hits due to the slowed movement, thus improving his/her tanking ability.

So, before saying any of this stuff, try to think of the dimensions other than the ones you think of first before you synthesize your final thoughts, and think them through fully before conclusions are thrown out. Remember, it's not only the raw numbers aren't the only dimensions to gameplay. Don't think I'm saying I know more about this game than you. I know for certain I don't, but I've seen this kind of stuff going about bladers all over the place, and it's simply just stupid to see these kind of contradictions happening without anyone noticing them and pointing them out.

My opinion for choosing the imbue:
Since this is an "or" question (as opposed to an "and" or "and/or" question) -
If you're aiming for -only- 1 on 1 duels, go fire. Chances will end up being that you will end up running into an ice immune character, so by default, the extra damage is really the only thing that will help you out.
If you're going to enter into guild wars where the common level isn't 79 - 80, go ice. There is a much higher probability that the lower levels aren't fully ice immune, so you can easily take your ice out to freeze and disable multiple people AND enables you to tank better which is logically able to easily turn the tide in the war.

But if I were you, I'd get both. Heavy investment of skill points, I know, but most games boil down to how effective can you micro your abilities/unit(s) in the end, and using fire and ice can turn out to be hugely beneficial if the use of skills maximizes the effect of the imbues (although RPGs rarely require a honed micro skill, but knowing what to do and doing it well does put you over the rest of the pack who just click the 3 or 4 or whatever number of moves repeatedly to get their reputed "skill").
Light for bladers requires very little micro ability, if at all, since it's mainly used only for the move speed. But that's aside the point since we're not talking about light here.

And if vanom is every going to read this post ever again, I'm already expecting him to call me a noob. So vanom, it's not necessary to make another useless post doing useless degrading on this internet community as I already foresaw it.

I'm also presuming he/she will think of posting his/her blatant thoughts anyway right after reading that last part and when he/she starts reading this, he'll/she'll figure out I read him/she yet again, and he'll/she'll feel disgusted and add to his/her post that I didn't read him/her through using his/her lack of encouraging language that I've seen from his/her last 5 or so posts in here.
