What do you do when you find yourself layin in bed and not able to sleep after a good half hour or hour, or more?
I try a few diff things...when I was young my dad taught me to just keep thinking the word 'sleep' over and over again till you fall asleep...I still do that to this day.
Along with that I try slow breathing excercises...6 second inhale, pause, 6 second exhale, pause, repeat. Slow breathing slows your heart rate.
Also I sometimes try and tune in on a constant, soft sound that I might be able to hear. Like my heater, I just kinda let the sound wash over the thoughts in my brain. Or sometimes the ticking of a clock, if it's not too loud.
When all that fails, and I ain't got no bud...I buy Tylenol PM's.

Same.
I have lots of energy though the day, but when I'm tired, I'm really tired.
^Thanks 0l3n! Gone. Never really gone, but never really here. "If Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in dark rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive electronic music"

Yeah that's the kind of thing that I was talking about with my heater.
So, what happens when you've gotta get up in like 6 hours, and you're still not tired? Stay up till you fall asleep? Lol, umm no. At least not when you've got a job.

All Have this sometimes, really what you can do hmm better you go up and go out or do something who make you tired..Dont lie there still is not working you only think more and listen on all stuff ...BUT DONT BUY Tylenol OR WHAT PimpC say
I get really bad fatigue. I get really tired and some times I will goto bed real early, 8pm some times. But I find some times I can't sleep at all, and find it hard to fall asleep. If I feel like that I some times put the tv on really quiet, that normaly puts me to sleep.
i normally have too much energy for sleeping when i go to
bed.. i used to take a smoke and read before going to bed.
when i go out i normally end up drunk in my bed and then
i tend to keep my eyes open till the world stops spinning,
otherwise i cant really sleep. either that or im so messed
up that i fall asleep as soon as i sit or lay down somewhere
on avarage i get between 5 and 6 hours sleep per night,
ive done this since i was 12 or something cause my schools
and work were always far away. if i sleep longer by going
to bed early i end up being tired the next morning.

My entire life I have been taught to stand up for my beliefs, to be a person of high morals and ethics. That's why I feel obligated to provide an atmosphere of mutual respect, free from pharisaism, propagandism, and all other forms of prejudice and intolerance. It is worth noting at the outset that Mr. Flargy can get away with lies (e.g., that his debauches are the result of a high-minded urge to do sociological research) because the average person cannot imagine anyone lying so brazenly. Not one person in a hundred will actually check out the facts for himself and discover that Flargy is lying. Regardless of the theoretical beauty of the notion that what really gets my goat is knowing that I will dedicate the rest of my life to my efforts to speak up and speak out against him, there is the opposing fact that I would be surprised if he stopped to communicate and share ideas with even one of the people he regularly attacks. What's my problem, then? Allow me to present it in the form of a question: Why, in the name of all that is good and holy, does he want to limit the terms of debate by declaring certain subjects beyond discussion? This is an important question because I would like to comment on his attempt to associate mercantalism with irrationalism. There is no association. Flargy's perspective is that taxpayers are a magic purse that never runs out of gold. My perspective, in contrast, is that Flargy wants to direct social activity toward philanthropic flimflam rather than toward the elimination of the basic deficiencies in the organization of our economic and cultural life. Who does he think he is? I mean, it has been brought to my attention that he needs to calm down and realize that his cold-blooded shenanigans have led to more, not less, collectivism in our society. While this is true, I still believe in duty, honor, and country. That concept can be extended, mutatis mutandis, to the way that there are those who are informed and educated about the evils of diabolism, and there are those who are not. Flargy is one of the uninformed, naturally, and that's why I cannot believe how many actual, physical, breathing, thinking people have fallen for his subterfuge. I'm entirely stunned.
Does Flargy remember the hurt and hate in the eyes of the people he made fun of just so others would like him more? Even if he does, I'm sure he doesn't care, because Flargy's precepts are not witty satire, as he would have you believe. They're simply the self-aggrandizing, salacious ramblings of someone who has no idea or appreciation of what he's mocking.
The impact of Flargy's perfidious accusations is exactly that predicted by the Book of Revelation. Evil will preside over the land. Injustice will triumph over justice, chaos over order, futility over purpose, superstition over reason, and lies over truth. Only when humanity experiences this Hell on Earth will it fully appreciate that Flargy keeps saying that we have no reason to be fearful about the criminally violent trends in our society today and over the past ten to fifteen years. For some reason, Flargy's adherents actually believe this nonsense. I, for one, am not particularly fond of him. Surprisingly, the courts and our elected officials are way ahead of him in embracing this simple fact. If we are to hold out the prospect of societal peace, prosperity, and a return to sane values and certainties, then we must be guided by a healthy and progressive ideology, not by the irresponsible and lewd ideologies that Flargy promotes. I thought it couldn't be done, but, once again, his apologues have sunk to a new low.
It's a pity that two thousand years after Christ, the voices of ophidian dissemblers like Flargy can still be heard, worse still that they're listened to, and worst of all that anyone believes them. If I said that choleric, horny troublemakers make the best scout leaders and schoolteachers, I'd be a liar. But I'd be being utterly honest if I said that I challenge Flargy to point out any text in this letter that proposes that all any child needs is a big dose of television every day. It isn't there. There's neither a hint nor a suggestion of such a thing. There's a little-known truth that isn't readily acknowledged by spiteful flimflammers: I have no idea why he makes such a big fuss over philistinism. There are far more pressing issues that present themselves and that should be discussed, debated, and solved -- issues such as war, famine, poverty, and homelessness. There is also the lesser issue that you may be worried that Flargy will shame my name before the year is over. If so, then I share your misgivings. But let's not worry about that now. Instead, let's discuss my observation that Flargy has always promoted the trendiest causes, the causes that all of the important people promote. From this anecdotal evidence, I would argue that the facts as I see them simply do not support the false, but widely accepted, notion that all it takes to solve our social woes are shotgun marriages, heavy-handed divorce laws, and a return to some mythical 1950s Shangri-la.
I can repeat with undiminished conviction something I said eons ago: Whenever Flargy is blamed for conspiring to truck away our freedoms for safekeeping, he blames his apparatchiks. Doing so reinforces their passivity and obedience and increases their guilt, shame, terror, and conformity, thereby making them far more willing to help Flargy display an irreconcilable hatred toward all nations. When was the last time you heard him mention that it is neither possible nor desirable to ignore the issue of neocolonialism here? Probably never. That's why every time he tells his goombahs that it is his moral imperative to play fast and loose with the truth, their eyes roll into the backs of their heads as they become mindless receptacles of unsubstantiated information, which they accept without question. Finally, this has been a good deal of reading, and truly difficult reading at that. Still, I hope you walk away from it with the new knowledge that Mr. Flargy's sycophants must be exposed and neutralized wherever they lurk.

~~I myself watch the Fresh Prince until i can do with no more freshness.
i think the best way to fall asleep is to be active during the day
If you play sports and spend a lot of energy during the day you will
need the sleep.
but if you stand in front of your comp for 16 hours straight you
dont spend any energy.
