Do you cover your xp/sp counters while playing?

Post by ZeFrog »

A while back I started getting into the habit of covering the XP/SP bars with either duct tape or medical tape on my monitor...

I'm a very alert person, who constantly looks at everything, which has an impact on how well I can grind...it got distracting....and had me worrying too much about my xp/sp bar instead of my grinding...

So I began covering them, and I must admit that since doing so I feel alot less stressed about the game...

The only time I ever see what xp % I have is when I log on, the only time I ever go to the stat screen is when I level...as far as sp is concerned only time I check that is when I'm in town to resupply and get repairs...

I was curious as to wether anyone else has gotten into this habit...

Suggestions to fix iSRO:
-Gold wipe
-Daily Bot bans
-Make SoX items acquirable only with Honor Points

Why do you use tape why not just use the system tab that pops up when you press esc.

That's what I do, but I'm thinking of using ducktape instead as I don't have the discipline not to peek :)

Sometimes yes, but usually not for long.

By using the system window.

But sometimes I open my skill window (which I pull up really often) and I end up seeing how much SP I have, so I guess that only the exp is worth hiding for me.

For some reason I need to look at my expbar to gain any exp, it just bothers me when I don't look at it every five minutes.

Know whats easier that doesnt screw your monitor up? Get ingame and press escape, there should be the system box, now you drag that down to the exp/sp bar, it covers it up perfectly

I do it all the time and i find it easiest to use the auto pot window since you cant accidently press escape and remove the thing blocking ur exp/sp meter. It does make grinding feel faster than it is because you arent constantly seeing ur exp bar slowly move up.

No No No, I have to be able to see progress, its not going to make much of a difference anyway, covered or uncovered the sp and exp will remain tha same. And it takes like wat?? 0.056 seconds to check the sp and exp bar, it doesnt distract me.

I've been doing it recently, put I don't damage my monitor with duct tape, that's dumb. I press ESC and drag that window over, it fits perfectly over SP/exp.

I sometimes grind with f12, easier to ks people but yea not looking at that sp bar every minute does make it seem like you grind faster.

sticky stuff on monitor = not good. then you have to get it off... :banghead:
if i'm looking at my sp, that means I'm not killing everything I can. I don't really notice my sp or exp until I go to town.

I use the map, some weed, and good music to hide my exp and sp.
