Soulution To Botters

i can get lvl 70 without bot in about 3~4 months


but to get 80 from 70

i need about 5 more months

ok listen!! botters are not the server crowdedness problems!!! its all the stallers that are afk!! if sro would make just make a npc where u could pute ur items in for sale then the servers wouldnt be crowded!!

Botters are the biggest server jammers for sure,
much much much much much worst than afk stallers...

How do I know? Remember the lag spikes that we got everyday a couple of weeks ago.
Everytime after the spikes, you see countless of bots died and respawned in town and hit their way points again.
I mean countless, their numbers are just overwhelm as compared to afk stallers.

I have a good soultion to how to stop Botters because it seems alot of people have been whinning, and crying about botters. Why dont JoyMax get ban the Botters who Bot 2 times? That would be easier. I dont know how JoyMax will get their I.P, but if you could, that would be good.

1st Time- A note sended by a [GM] Warning or Have a pop-up warnning when you try to log in.

2nd Time- Permanent I.P ban

I have no problem with botters. I only played SilkRoad for about 1 Month. But I barely play and Im level 13. Alot of people play 5 hours on weekdays and like 10 hours on weekends. Those people are Serious Gamers and most of them complain the most. Which is also a problem in most families that can afford computers and internet. Basically, average families.

I just got a response from the Official Forums, I found out that this idea has been suggested many times also. Heres what the dude said.

the ban the IP idea is not new, it has been proposed numerous times...
most users however do not have a static IP but a dynamic IP which changes everytime they connect to the internet... for example in Germany the IP changes for 99 percent of the users at least every 24 hours.. and I do not believe it differs a lot in other countries. so an IP ban will not work in most cases.

True
Gold bots jam the servers way more than the afk stallers. Think about it, there are around 4 or 5 gold selling companies that constantly spam their sites in the towns (well at least on tibet). Each company has it's own army of gold bots and are always growing. The gold bots are always logged on 25/7.

Afk stalls do jam the server but if there were no gold bots all of our playing experience will be much better.
