my 72 shield just went +5 yesterday, using about 10 sites of elixirs... there CANT be a rollback now :shock:

Because its just standard safety measure incase the data was messed with/corrupted/whatever, and given that JM said they don't know what caused the problem its more then reasonable to assume they'll rollback to at most tuesdays save.

well .. i'd believe jm when i see the next ban list.

and yeah ... too much coincidence ... first the threat, then the servers down, then they quickly mention that there will be a huge bot ban. such communications was never done previously. and in the official forum, morningdewS said it is against their policy to reveal the dates. so ....

even if the sosuns gets transferred to another account, many botters perhaps cant make it to even lvl 64 again without the bots. even if they could, it will be another 3 or more months with gold tickets and long hours of grinding. or they could sit back and wait for the next bot release.

The only way this wouldn't be retarded was if they've already banned them and are just compiling the list. Otherwise every botter will store their stuff on a mule account, and if they're banned, start botting up a new character with all their gold and items intact.

yeah i guess they already have the list of botters, so they post it and let everyone know
if you read, they say the punishment is scheduled to be processed next week... so the punishment is to take place next week

Last month around this time Joymax had alreayd done a pretty large banning on bots. And no, i'm not talking about that list that Joymax sent out with about 20 from each server. Joymax had banned about 1000Botters on 2 servers. They had it on the forums - but currently they're down. Also, in realation to the forums being down... I tried logging down and The inspection notice said All servers undergoing inspection ect ect ... as well as the webpage. Wether or not it had anything to do with the treats.. who know's. And if you do know... share the info.

Hacker event :

event 1: Hacker warns SRO to ban bots or they wipe the database in 10 days.

event 2: 6 days later JM release a pitiful bot ban list

event 3: Hacker floods the server that holds the main SRO website as well as the SRo servers (omfg the stupidity of it ... wow)

event 4: JM believe the threat and make a promise to ban HUGE amounts of bots... next week...

As far as myth busting goes...
it's plausible lol... I love rumours...

Personally, I don't think its hardware problems, or something on Joymax's side. The way the whole game went down like it did, seems suspiciously like ddos.

think servers got over flooded with traffic so many ppl forcing there way in more and more bots keep coming hence the bot list and if hackers reall could take down sro they would of robbed a back digitally and not wasted there time on a game and if they do seriously f*** u hacking them wont help go work for them for x$ an hr and you your self cant log on then when you do you have 500ppl globaling and screaming 10k plz item plz sounds like hell.
not just that if they do this will only push updates meaning sro euro 2009 not late 2008
